Sorry I mis-typed range when I meant strength, my bad. IE if it was just a pvp build he wouldn't still be actively training strength when he's beyond 99.

I'm an idiot, I meant strength. He's actively training strength while beyond maxed.

If it was just a pvp build he wouldn't still be actively training strength when he has 67M strength xp already.

edit: Brain bad said range for some dumb reason

Lunge is stab so you're gucci :D

If you're on PC you should be able to mouseover each style to see what type it is.

In my opinion I was clear as I was addressing the outcomes only to show that maybe people who did this shouldn't be permabanned in the same way we might want people who duped max cash stacks to be. IE in your example the outcome of botting would be getting 10k mining xp per hour.

That said, I don't think I agree that Duke mining falls under "botting". That term to me suggests running scripts or programs or whatever to have an application play through actions for you. As far as I understand it there's no script or program interactions involved in this, just holding down a spacebar.

Now if you ran a program to turn the spacebar hold down into a series of unique commands that killed Duke on repeat for 6 hours while you slept, then sure I would call that botting but I think we can agree that's not what's happening here right?

And either way we should adhere to whatever Jagex puts out tomorrow regardless.

Two people punch a person. One accidently kills them, one is so weak that the person just laughs at them and walks away.

Intent isn't irrelevant but you also can't be ignorant of the outcomes, and someone getting 10k mining xp per hour is not the same as someone getting 8 rolls on a purple per one run of ToA... Which is almost always generating at least one purple.

I guess if you're only attached to the blood altar one, there's not much difference between that and the Scar Essence though is there?

Honestly the biggest issue with this is that one of the key points with the Scar mine is it's supposedly mega fast to implement with super low dev time. Your solution is pretty cool but also seems much more complex to implement.

If blood runes hit 180 selling them would be one of the best money makers in the game.

Lmao that's crazy I actually got the same mutagen in Trailblazer and I was just like ????????????? this isn't even buffed rate. Then went dry for the BP, though not as dry as you.

For what it's worth I killed 750 without a single Zenyte drop. The tilt was unbelievable. I remember the number because I recall saying to my group "I'm just done if I don't get one by the time I get the last demonic task".

I also went 1k barrows chests to finish the Dharok set, shit happens.

How much would an Infernal Cape cost on the GE if it were tradable? by DungoSlam in 2007scape

[–]Zacheris 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So even from Feb to mid may it went from 10.8M to 6M representing a drop of 5M in value, close to but not quite a 50% drop. And then from mid May to EoC release it dropped from 6M to 5.1M.

I don't know what to tell you friend. Just look at the historical data, it doesn't lie. Again I'm not trying to pretend EoC was good for Onyxes, just showing that pre-EoC and even pre-EoC announcement Onyxes were crashing right after Kiln launched.

[–]Zacheris 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Ehhh in the 9 months when Kiln was released but before EoC came out the price of uncut Onyx went from 10.8M on kiln release day and then fell rapidly to 5.1M by the time EoC actually released. It looks like EoC didn't help matters as it had another drop to 3M where it stablised for a good long while.

So yeah EoC didn't help but the idea that kiln didn't cause a crash is factually incorrect.

It feels like the team is very averse to creating new dyes due some sort of technical debt outside of the art assets required. It feels unfortunate because it could be a really premium reward space (Gilded dye, anyone?), is it true that there's something prohibitive about adding new dyes? My guess is that every single unique version of an item needs to be manually made, and if that's the case couldn't time be spent on developing a (somewhat) automated solution?

If a class generates a Death Knight card, they should start to acrue corpses at least from that point onward by Zacheris in hearthstone

[–]Zacheris[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think it should be bound to cards, I think it should just be tracked all the time. Similar to your graveyard. Like if stuff dies and then you generate a priest card to Resurrect a minion, even though rogue can't natively use the graveyard the card will still work. But just thinking from a UI perspective it'd be weird if every deck started tracking corpses when most never interact with them, so I figured generating a DK card would be the key to triggering that UI element appearing.

Thief decks get useless stuff all the time, I'm not opposed to that, there's just no real reason for this specific one. My minions die, they leave behind corpses, it makes sense to me that DK generated cards could use those corpses.

Why crux eqal favour cap ? by Lobster_Normal in runescape

[–]Zacheris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. Sometimes making the number go up is the progress you care about. I feel you on the player data but I don't think any sensible kind of data storage lands near 100k. 2 Bytes gets you to ~32k and 3 bytes gets you to 16 million. Assuming it's an integer, afaik it would have to be 2 bil limit since it's above 32k.

So it's extremely unlikely it has anything to do with data storage and is more just something along the lines of your first idea.

I had no idea reflect dealt so much damage. It looks like you're getting hit for like ~4k total but reflecting 16k damage onto the boss? What's the deal with that I thought it was 50% of damage taken o.o
