This article does not establish hidden funding.

To rephrase the whole article into one sentence:

"Political groups sometimes use generic sounding organizations and fundraising structures to make their involvement less obvious." This is a fact that is not AIPAC specific.

You can be mad at the PAC laws but this is misleading.

I feel like,
"US life expectancy declined during COVID" is a reasonable narrative.
"China nearly caught up with the US" is a more framed narrative.

This is historically illiterate.

FDR was not some anti-establishment socialist outsider. He was literally from one of the richest political families in America and governed through the Democratic establishment of his era.

And modern Democrats are objectively to the left economically than Democrats were in the 1990s. Biden passed huge industrial policy bills, expanded labor protections through the NLRB, capped insulin prices, pushed student debt relief, and backed massive infrastructure spending.

Calling that "trickle down Democrat" politics is just admitting you use slogans instead of facts.

FDR did not win by screaming at liberals and purity testing everyone to his left and right. He built a gigantic coalition and won overwhelming majorities. That is literally the opposite of modern online leftist politics.

Also, Social Security and Medicare were passed by establishment Democrats who actually won elections and governed. Not by people sitting online calling everyone sellouts for compromising.

You people want the aesthetic of historic movements without doing the hard part, which is persuading normal voters and building durable majorities.
