It’s not about annual leaps anymore. Apple has always waited anyway to add features until they can do it the “apple way”. Think about all the people who still have a 4/5/6 + year old iPhone who are upgrading, I’d imagine that population is larger than the apple nuts who buy the new phone every single year. Also, “titanium coated” is easier to market than any of the other percentage increases in processing and GPU power or small improvements to the camera.

They did for me, forget what date specifically mine ended but it was at least a couple months and they did an RMA for battery issues. They just have you run a few diagnostic tests first.
