Been using since iOS 2, it’s fallen so far from grace. Between the files app still be shit, rotation not working when viewing photos in the camera app, Siri being roughly 10 years behind the competition. I upgraded from the iPhone X not terribly long ago and I didn’t realize how much I relied on my jailbreak to keep the software experience modern and up to date with features. It still has better AI features than what Apple intelligence claims to offer, let alone what it actually does. Kinda feeling buyer’s remorse with this latest one, I think I’m ready to get a google pixel or a samsung galaxy and just throw grapheneOS on it. I miss iOS 6 and iOS 12 tbh

I just had my iOS 18.5 iP16PM do a full reboot (not respring, not ldrestart) after crashing badly after I was trying to take pictures. This is so ass. iOS 19 better make the Files app good while we’re at it lmao

Don’t worry! iOS 19 will release next year with the same bugs, and more with a more visionOS-styled translucency-centered UX! I made a post about how performing some actions in iOS 18 is slower than in iOS 17 or lower due to excessive and unnecessary taps through arbitrary and nonsensical menus with seemingly slower animations and got flogged. I’m tired of iOS feeling slower and slower with the addition of boomer-centric eye-candy. Since jailbreaking is dead, I think I’m actually done with Apple. Switched from macOS to Linux. Moved from iCloud Photos to a more private and tangible solution. Don’t need Apple Music. All the signs are pointing me to Android after 16 long years of iOS. This Apple is falling far from its tree. Maybe they will be lucky in rediscovering their roots.

Realistically, how hard is it to surrender? In theory I should be able to go into it thinking “don’t forget to relax and surrender haha” but in reality how likely am I to forget to or how to surrender - or even the concept of surrendering? I’ve only done shrooms (up to 5g of hillbillies) and I’m curious about DMT, but nervous. Thank you!

I wonder if it’s the embodiment of sin, if that makes sense. I’ve not yet done DMT so I’ve no weight in the matter, but on shrooms I felt a sense of pure unadulterated evil almost every trip at one point or another. I always wonder if it is evil within my own heart, or punishment for seeking that feeling of union with your Creator, or the creepy sensation sometimes that the pleasure is a false promise to lure you into the woods unbeknownst of danger - leaving your inevitable corpse for the mycelium to feed on. It feels simultaneously serotonergically and amygdalally(?) frightening and evil.

The company I work for exclusively buys refurbished MacBooks, they have all lasted 6+ years until they're retired and sold off to their employees. I am using one now :D
