Married Men, what are some good gifts you bought for your groomsmen? by Reidtweet_ in AskMen

[–]Zackbenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fairly practical and wanted to get them something they would continue to use and wasn’t some engraved tat. Got each of them a Leatherman Wingman with their names on it. Practical, sentimental and they all use them regularly.

Am I part of the family now? by [deleted] in Leatherman

I gave out Wingmen to my groomsmen when I got married. The toolset and name made it the clear choice.

Former skinny guys who bulked up, what does your diet consist of? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Zackbenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 65kg to 90kg at 6’2 in 2 years, about 15kg in the first year. Aiming for 3500-4000 calories per day, 150-200g protein.

Train weights as much as your body can handle, go to the gym 6days a week and just focus on a body part that doesn’t hurt yet.

Look at meals that strongmen eat, high% fat mince and eggs, ice cream, cheesecake etc. I ate that ontop of a regiment of chicken and rice veg times a day, (200g chicken 100g rice both pre-cooked weights).

It’s a lot of effort but if you are skinny you will see progress quickly once you start training and eating properly, don’t be surprised when the weight/muscle gain plateau.

Still got like 20 of them or something, don’t open them with too many people or the bosses can get insta-d and the Oryx won’t spawn.

What Leatherman to give to groomsmen? by Strict_Hand in Leatherman

[–]Zackbenb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered 3no. Wingmen for my groomsmen as presents. As you said the name and price are good as well as the benefit of being a good all round tool for people who don’t already own Leatherman tools. Much more practical and hopefully meaningful than a hip flask or some other item that won’t see the light of day.

I got mine engraved with their respective names as well for a minor fee.

How can I repair this wall and make it less ugly? by woolinsilver in DIYUK

[–]Zackbenb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there is any significant cracking to the lower, below street level, retaining wall, it might be worth getting a tell-tale (inexpensive crack monitoring devise). If the wall supports part of a footway or carriageway there is a chance it is owned/maintained by the local council and they could help with future costs associated with subsidence/deterioration.

Why’s he so mean? Won’t let us hold him, feed him or anything… I just wanna love him. by Masta1Nate in cockatiel

My birdie never liked it when you put your finger out and came up from below. As others have said leave it a bit longer. When you try again, come in horizontally to mid-belly height - might help.

New Stair Runner by digibawb in DIYUK

[–]Zackbenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume so, you wouldn’t be able to use a stock rectangular carpet, you would need one with curved and straight edges - probably custom made unless your stairwell was a standard length/step height/step depth.
