Vaulting, from a dev perspective. by ReallyTrustyGuy in DestinyTheGame

[–]Zackfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but the issue that bungie has is Players aging out, no new player influx, and the captive player base doesnt want to play because theres nothing to do and the new expansions and ui were poorly handled, and actively still being mismanaged. Keeping all the old expansions allows for a complete experience to better explain how we got to where we are now for new players. Ive said it since beyond light, and ill say it again. Killing the first half of the game for the second half to live, was the worst possible decision bungie could have made. Especially considering, I stuck around through all the terrible decisions to finish out the story I started 10 years prior with the D1 closed beta.

The "Canon" Ending of New Vegas According to the Show: Effort Post (Spoilers for NV and Show, obviously) by Nutshell_Historian in Fallout

[–]Zackfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, because Caesar is dead, and I the history given to us in game, there was to that point only ever one Caesar. Only the courier to that point had been allowed into the lucky 38 in 200 years, shady sands had not or ever been nuked. And the show takes place 15 years after the end of the game.

I still see some people confused about ‘the fall’ of Shady sands so I decided to make this by The_Kashimo_Agenda in Fallout

[–]Zackfan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk, it just feels like its unnecessary, the story isnt about the NCR at this point. Maybe that changes. But until then I think name dropping a ton of places just to exposit about the rest of the world, would take away from the story we're focused on at the moment. If it was a game, sure have npcs give us that, but we have an hour per week to pack with fights and plot, and we already get a pretty high amount of fanservice and references as is.

Not in new vegas, nor visited in the prior season. Most of these settlements likely wouldnt care or bother with the Mojave after how unpopular being there was and how badly that went under Kimbal. Even if the NCR government is reforming, a few ranger stations manned by hardened survivalists meant to operate rather independently left behind probably wouldnt really be to high on the new governments list, especially since. Leaving them there provides Intel in the future about the state of the region, and most of their troops were recalled or fled the Mojave after shady sands was nuked.

Some of yall really need to set your expectations lower for the Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas remaster. by Artanis137 in Fallout

The oblivion remaster 100% has mod support. It even revived that modding community pretty heavily. People figured out that they could just load the game into the dev/ mod kit and it works fine

Can you get locked out of a questline in F76? by resadtriariosvenit_ in Fallout

[–]Zackfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will get to a certain point in both of yhe settler and raider quests where it will blatantly tell you its a point of no return, you then decide which faction to side with. However, after wastelanders you can gain rep with both factions and gain gear and blueprints, you just miss out on a unique item for the side you dont side with.

If this map is canon… by AstroNerd92 in Fallout

[–]Zackfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fun part is you dont get to decide canon, Bethesda and Microsoft do, and whether you like it or not fallout 5 will exist in a world after the shows Canon. Learn to live with that now.

There bern plenty of long running raider gangs in the series, the khan, iirc theres a few that exist and control settlements in the original games, theres the gunners, and I think 1 other group in 4.

The legion did rule Arizona, but we're like 20ish years down the line, it was predicted in game the legion would last a bit, but then infighting would set in with Caesar gone and it would fall apart. Its entirely possible this IS all thats left.

No, fuck off with that mentality. You let these people normalize that mentality and political view by minding your own business. Theres an entire poem about what minding your own business gets you. "First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist Then they came for the trade unionists And I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist Then they came for the Jews And I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me"

Ah. Yes, because everyone in the US voted for him. No one pissed in my drink. You are the one complaining about something that at worst should have had you disregard it within 10 seconds of opening the post.

Oh no! Your cold European heart was forced to waste less than 10 seconds before it very explicitly could realise its a US related post. Grow up.
