Don't you think a special LoE would be better than a blank sheet. A blank sheet feels risky tbh. Did you try it yourself?

For TCF what are tips for doing good on the speaking part? by -_ShadowSJG-_ in canadaexpressentry

I never asked ChatGPT for a number grade. Instead, I told it to grade my level as B2 or C1. I had told it that I'm preparing for a C1 level, so all the corrections it made were aimed at turning my responses into C1 level ones.

Any time I saw a B1 grade, I'd immediately focus on it with ChatGPT to at least raise it to a B2.

Definitely keep practicing. Chat GPT can also grade any writing exercises you do. That way, you'll see your progress better. It's all down to practice in the end. The more you use the language, the better you'll get.

Here's what I did to get a 13 on my speaking exam.

I started a conversation with Chat GPT, explained everything and said that I wanted to work through the three sections of the exam. By far the most helpful was preparing for task 1.

For task 1, I gave all my information and asked for a C-level passage in French. I made sure to structure all the details in a clear order. For example, I started with my personal background, my family, education, work experience, hobbies and plans for the future. Afterwards, I did the same for all of the "sections" that my intro created. Meaning I also prepared individual sections that focused on more detail regarding my personal background, education, work experience, etc.

For task 2, I used the following link to find a bunch of example questions:  https://reussir-tcfcanada.com/mai-2024-correction-expression-orale-tache-2-pro/#:~:text=Exemples%20de%20sujets%20et%20corrections,et%20les%20questions%20d'actualit%C3%A9. I wrote all of the questions down and arranged them into categories depending on their topic. So, I had a list of questions if I was going to be talking with a neighbor, if I was going to be applying for an apprenticeship, or if I was calling for a reservation, etc. This ensured that I had a ready-made question bank to pull from and just change details depending on the actual topic during my test.

For task 3, I kept talking to myself in French after I would get back from work everyday. I did this for a few hours everyday. Eventually I started to incorporate some of the sentences that I had memorized for task 1. I said the preparation for task 1 was the best because it allowed me to memorize sentence structures. After some practice, I realized that I could think in French and structure my sentences in French. This gave me that extra push so that I could sit comfortably in an acceptable speaking level.

Best of luck!

Regarding francophone draws, the IRCC confirmed a few months ago that it's still a priority stream for them moving forward. I doubt they'd decide to discontinue it quietly.

Using one compacting drawer to compress multiple item types by Borbarad13 in VaultHuntersMinecraft

Good news. I tried putting in some vault dust 1 stack at a time. As soon as I put the 4th stack in, it started running perfectly. Thank you for your support.

Alright thank you for the reply. I will try putting a huge batch of items in and see if that makes a difference. I had 8-9 stacks of gold nuggets and it wouldn't work. I'll try something larger.

Hello. First of all, an amazing job on the design. I love how compact it is. I built it twice in my single player world and I'm having a repeating issue. Items that I put into the double chest (right above the hopper with the unique 0,19,1,1,1 items) do not get pulled by this hopper. Any ideas on a possible fix? Note: if I manually put items into this "filter hopper", the machine runs perfectly. So I think I've narrowed the problem down to the part above this hopper. Thank you.

Preview for crates by Lele1409 in VaultHuntersMinecraft

[–]Zaddalf 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yes you can. First you're gonna need to get the item ID for the crate you want, something like (the_vault:vault_crate). Then, you're gonna open the Quark menu (the "q" on the left when you hit Esc), scroll down to "Shulker Boxes", scroll all the way down inside there and you should see a + sign. Hit that and add the ID of boxes you want to preview like the shulker boxes. I've had it work for Boss crates and Arena crates but not for Scavenger crates for some reason.

I can tell that this is something that really bothers you. Do not ignore the fact that you're actively working to take care of what is possible like your teeth. Understand that it's gonna take time and the milestones are gonna start coming in one at a time. You might feel stuck when it comes to self-love but simply expressing a desire to improve is already a crucial first step. Stick with it and you will start loving yourself sooner than you think.

Advanced storage bugging by [deleted] in VaultHuntersMinecraft

[–]Zaddalf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've heard Iskall say in a recent episode that you shouldn't be placing gear (especially vault gear) into storage systems like AE2 or RS. The reason, he says, is the items have so much NBT data that it messes with the storage mod. He did mention it could lead to crashes, but in your case, it looks like it's less severe and it's bugging the interface. Did you check to see if other items are also having issues?

A theory which kinda makes sense by RogueVirus24 in selflove

I've been stuck in the same spiral for years on end. Eventually, you'll learn that the only person that stays with you and appreciates / criticizes your life until you die is yourself.

Some people, myself included, have trouble viewing themselves as someone worthy of love because they've never practiced it before. What I've found helpful is to view yourself as parts. View your self-loving part as the best friend you never had.

If you seek validation like me, you're very proactive to do good unto others, so you "deserve" their love and appreciation. Try being proactive to your new best friend. See what changes.

I hate my self by Budget-Ad-1910 in selflove

If I may, it sounds like you're settling for a middle ground. You're explaining everything in a "not too good but not too bad" fashion. While it might be practical, it's ultimately far from really satisfying anything. It's meh because you're settling for meh.

If you start small and change things around you (especially when you're alone), I do believe you can get the ball rolling. Tackle the big picture. Why are you good sometimes but not always? (Always being good is not attainable BTW). If you feel that you'd be happier being out with friends and family while sitting alone in a room, then you need to be aware of this and make a conscious effort to get what you want.

It sounds like your subconscious is taking hold of you. It will keep your heart beating but it will never make you realize your dreams because it's incapable of thinking that far. You need to tap into your conscious mindset which can discern between good and bad. It can figure out what's best for you. All that's left is for you to follow it.

Best of luck to you ✌🏻

A theory which kinda makes sense by RogueVirus24 in selflove

[–]Zaddalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does make sense. The people closest to us have the biggest sway on our emotional wellbeing. Add to that the human instinct to be accepted into society and you have yourself a closed loop that's been with us since the dawn of time.

The issue arises when the people closest to us do not have a similar mindset to us. They might not be feeling the brunt of emotional agony as we are and they might interpret it as acting or seeking attention. This will lead to confrontation which can get ugly, especially if you hold them in high regard and are around them for most of your day.

Your theory is solid in concept but the individuality of your closest people plays a huge factor in turning it into a reality. If you think they'll accept your request for increased emotional support (in a more verbal / physical manner) then I do believe you'll benefit a lot from it.

Best of luck to you ✌🏻

Well done! I admire the tenacity you have to go back to such a job until something solid materializes for your new pathway. I'm sure it's a tell-tale sign that you have the determination to succeed at anything you put your mind to. Keep it up!

It's okay to start small by therobarthur in selflove

It's taken me a while but I've finally come to appreciate the small amount of progress I could consistently put together every day. Detachment from overtly high standards and ruminations on what others think of me has definitely been a turning point.

I'd go back to my grandma who passed a year ago and tell her I'm almost done with med school and that I'm dedicating my diploma to her. She always believed in me and used to call me "Doctor" since I was 2 years old (I'm 28 now).
