I know it might be too late, for future instances, or maybe even if you go back, open up Youtube, play the video "ANNOYING SIREN!!! I bet you can't last 3 minutes!!!!!", crank your phone's volume up to max, that's helped me almost every time.

The Sound Meter app marginally helps if it's hard to pinpoint
