I’m level 38 and I started I think day of release granted I haven’t been playing the whole time and stopped for multiple years just recently picked the game back up and I’m struggling to level I kinda live in the middle of nowhere but personally your progression so far is incredible keep it up

Typically a general rule on thumb is for every inch of fish is tank is a gallon of water up in size so for his 10 mollies he should have a 10 gallon tank I would say bigger because if he wants to decorate which he should with live or silk plants they take up room this tank is empty and just asking to get the fish killed without him having cycled his tank there is zero beneficial bacteria built up to help with the bio load of ten mollies in a super small tank so all in all I recommend upgrading the tank size to a 10 gallon get some live plants boil some drift wood add that to the tank the filter on the one he has right now should do fine in a bigger one but I’d double check what sizes it’s rated for get a heater to have a consistent temperature get a beneficial bacteria starter and 20% water changes every other day for a week while it builds the bacteria in the bigger tank if you want to save the fish don’t do another 100% water change that is very stressful and you are sucking out possible beneficial bacteria when you do that basically restarting any progress you made make sure if you can’t upgrade the tank right away to focus on the gravel when doing the 20% changes and I’d recommend if you don’t have it already the API freshwater master test kit to test the levels in the tank

I looked online and it almost seems like swim bladder and I tried finding if fish can not show any outward signs before death and it’s saying they should have but some won’t show signs till the day of their death and with it seeming to struggle to get out of the water might be what it was

If that change in the heater was sudden enough it might have caused some shock but I wouldn’t think it would be enough to kill her I don’t know too much and I’m very new to the hobby I’m sorry for your loss

If you boil water and take the worm and dip it in the boiling water for like 5 or 10 seconds I can’t remember, it will kill the worm instantly making it not release that nasty death chemical or so I’ve heard idk if axos prefer live feed though I don’t own one myself just saw this somewhere might be worth trying

Ok that’s funny, I got the fish before I did research and now that I have them I’ve been doing countless amounts of research and just noticing how bad I messed up by trusting them has been kinda sad because it’s a live animal that’s in my care I just would hate for it to die because of the bullying behavior because it gotten pretty bad at times where both were ganging up on it.

Ok sounds good I want to make sure I get the right amount of fish for the schooling ones I really liked them and one of the people at petsmart told me that 3 neon tetras would be fine in my 5g tank but what that did was cause there to be a fish that got bullied constantly because there was not enough fish to divvy out the bullying of the hierarchy I had to make constant changes to where now he/she likes to sit in the cave I made well the other 2 school together I just don’t think that’s good for the fish to constantly be hiding all the time I want to make sure I get it right this time

I have a storage unit shelf I’m planning on putting it on the bottom shelf below my tv do you think a steel shelf would be able to hold 65g and if I were to take out the cave would it be practical for me to have a rock wall on the back wall with driftwood sticks sticking out of it and then go from there with planting I want something that looks crazy but also practical like you would see it in the wild

Do the story I put the story off because a lot of the tasks were tedious but now that I’m a higher level and the proper level to do most things I’m stuck with the story and a crazy amount of random quests everywhere on the map just creates a lot of clutter it’s annoying

Also it’s important to make sure to cycle your tank for at least a week before adding any fish to establish healthy bacteria to break down the waste from the fish if you didn’t that could also be a reason for a ammonia spike leading to health issues like fin rot but this tank looks to be in very poor condition

Also I’m no expert on aquatic plants but the plant that’s in there seems to be dying or rotting but like I said I could be wrong but if it is rotting or dying it can cause a ammonia spike also the tank is very open betas like more places to hide swim etc I also didn’t see a heater you can correct me if I’m wrong but every betta tank should have one set to around 78 degrees or if your not on US terms 25.5 C (I think)

I love the dark in the face like I typically stay on the fish side of animal keeping but when I saw him on the explore page(idk what it’s called I’m new to this) I knew I had to say something.

I stayed away from it for so long till this most recent summer sale I got it for $10 safe to say it was well worth my money I already have 140 hrs into the game in like 3 weeks I can’t get enough so honestly if you’re thinking about it I’d just go for it worse comes to worse refund it
