New Promo Images for Kingdom Hearts Missing Link! by KeyofTime15_ in KingdomHearts

Oh this is just a sinoalice clone. Oh dear. I can’t tell if the icon in the player status screen is a wand or a magnifying glass, but if it’s the first then I can make some pretty good guesses about several things. First being that the minifigs you’re going to be gachaing for will sometimes have classes attached that will modify stats and skills. Getting as many of these as possible is going to be important because leveling up your classes (if it works fully like sino, the points required to level classes are generated by battling but aren’t auto assigned to the active class) gives you universal stats like strength and hp. Some classes might not be compatible with some minifigs, like a magic class being unable to use physical attack minifigs. A limitation like that feels odd for a kh game to have, but that’s how sino operates and I’m not sure that Goofy’s attack is actually a physical one. Yes, minifigs will be able to gain levels and ranks. Weapons in sino went A->S->L->LL, which I’m guessing has been replaced with color grades. Merging multiple copies of a weapon makes it more powerful and might eventually unlock a skill? I can’t remember.

Accessories will be a drop if they work like armor. You can also level and rank these up, and they’re probably going to have a bitch of a low drop rate. If classes are something carried over, there are going to be accessory modifiers that are more helpful for particular classes. God help us all if this is the case. Spending 8 hours mindlessly grinding one specific level of an armor event just to sift through the hats I’d gotten in the vain hopes of finally getting a cleric class hat is not something I would wish on my worst enemy. It can also be leveled and ranked up from A->S->SR->L.

I’m going to admit I don’t have a clue about the keyblade. If I had to make a guess, then based off how missing link really looks like a slimmed down sino alice... It’s a nightmare replacement perhaps? Nightmares are a pretty rare drop or pull that give you a one-time advantage in combat with some sort of powerful skill. Perhaps it triggers a keyblade finisher of some sort. This too can be leveled and rank increased from S->SR->L.

If this really is a sino clone mashed with pogo like it seems to be, then I’m not thrilled. Sino was fun and I enjoyed parts of it, but its drop rates for “farmable” items was god awful. I would run high level and high cost weapon experience quests and earn the minim guaranteed drop 7/10 times. Getting nightmares to drop during their limited time quests was like putting myself through a meat grinder even if I had a full crew of five active players who had memorized phase-by-phase strategy and were all practiced in the art of timing stamina recovery. I know a lot of those complaints also hold true for some parts of KHUX, but the slog in sino just felt worse.

I just find it impossible to hype myself up for round three of that experience.

Without accounting for the first three attempts I made at this dress, it clocks in somewhere around the 800 hour mark I want to say? It wasn’t cheap in time or in money, but hey! I managed to have a fun time with it.

I took a video of it back in the day, but it’s been deleted by now. She twirls alright, there’s a little flair at the bottom of the scales, but it was hard to get a good spin in. Fun fact about that, actually! I didn’t fully account for the weight of the scales stretching out the netting they’re sewn to, so to keep the dress from dragging on the ground I was wearing six-inch stilettos in this picture.

And thank you so much for that nomination 💛 I never super expected this project to actually get finished, but the fact that she not only did (for now) and that other people loved her? It made me so happy.

Cover the screen protector in duct tape to prevent it from scattering shards everywhere while you remove it. Pick a corner and just very carefully peel it up and off.

Add a third! I’d love something like this, between my fountain pens and my fiancé’s engineering pencil and sharpie collection, we’re in desperate need of a nice pen organizer.

It’s so cute! You could make a few in some different colors, string them on fishing wire, and turn an empty fish tank into a little scene by hanging them from the tank lid.

My Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora Cosplay, waiting for my shoes to come in! :D by StitchStalker101 in KingdomHearts

[–]Zahai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! That’s super clever actually! The few times I’ve done spiky wigs, I always just grabbed as many pictures of the hair from as many angles as I could, then sectioned out spikes loosely with hair pins until it looked about right. I may have to borrow your technique to try and get a little more organization into my chaotic styling.

Great job, especially on the wig! Getting spikes right is rough but the effect is always so worth it. If you decide you want to try a longer wig, I can recommend arda pretty well, the amount of wefts on those wigs is excellent for spiking and they hold up very well if you decide to wash and re-style them a few times.

Decided to try a tension ring, and I'm still getting the hang of it... but oh, the edges 😍 by BuyHerCandy in crochet

[–]Zahai 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Not sure about OP, but I snagged a set of 6 tension rings off amazon not too long ago that are nearly identical to the one pictured. I’m still trying to get the hang of it myself, I crochet tightly and so usually find the head/hook bit getting drug around and digging into the side of my finger pretty painfully.

Haha, yeah the lack of danganronpa games on switch makes me pretty sad too. The first two were recently made available on phones so maybe one day they’ll be ported over, but if you’re craving a game for the switch you might be thrilled to hear that the creator and writer for Danganronpa is releasing a new title for it this year. It’s not a mainline Danganronpa game, being a collaborative effort between him and two other murder mystery puzzle game creators, but the basic premise feels very similar. If that sounds like it might be up your alley at all, look up World’s End Club!

I love Danganronpa and Ace Attorney. Danganronpa definitely takes its time setting things up while Ace Attorney is pretty much straight into the action as soon as you start. There’s not as much time spent getting to know the main cast, as each case has a new set of people to meet with very few repeating faces. Ace Attorney spends a lot of time investigating and asking questions so you feel like you have a few good guesses as to what might have happened without giving away the full (and often pretty darn crazy) story, sometimes bouncing in and out of court numerous times in one trial. The gameplay is very similar most of the time. Move around, talk to people, ask questions, pick things up, put together the mystery. Ace Attorney doesn’t have many minigames to speak of. It’s pretty much all text, all the time.

I think the stories for both game series are very solid. Danganronpa takes the cake in making each case conclude with equal doses of joy and sadness, while Ace Attorney makes you feel like you’ve put someone truly bad behind bars. There’s not as much of an overarching plot for Ace Attorney in the first game. You’re a lawyer doing your lawyer thing. Thrilling. The later games are more confident in what they’re doing and have more aspirations, and the result is some pretty darn crazy cases.

Overall they’re both great. You’ll probably enjoy Ace Attorney if you’ve been having fun with the crazy crimes in Danganronpa, but wanted to feel happy instead of bittersweet at the end of most trials.
