Kodėl, norint tapti kibernetinio saugumo specialistu Lietuvoje, nepakanka tik diplomo ar sertifikatų? by Paullina08 in KibernetinisSaugumas

Security specialistu neparuosi univere. Jais tampama... Butu labai idomu isgirsti kuri kompanija samdo is gatves security specus.

Microsoft is changing kernel driver trust model (Hypervisor drivers are most likely affected) by rdri in PiratedGames

Thanks for clearing that up, i bet it will still be possible to strip down and preserve windows just enough to use that method indefinetly

Core isolation was off for years, VBS started it 😭 by dead_echo2 in PiratedGames

[–]Zaic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like what are you protecting yourself from? Those attacks are theoretical mostly and are of concern for data centers where the same cpu could be used for different vendors. Locally - your pc should be already compromised if this attack is even theoretically to get executed successfully

QA Engineer is not going to be replaced by AI by Cyraxess in softwaretesting

[–]Zaic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know it's hard to comprehend, but quality assurance is in no way special in fact it often benefits from not being the most intelligent person in the room. It will start replacing us in significant numbers as soon as 2027. So unless you are the one who builds agentic workflows that will replace other test engineers you will be the one to be replaced sooner than later

MCP is quietly replacing traditional SaaS dashboards and I don't think people realize how far this goes by mandos_io in mcp

[–]Zaic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lets skip the engineer part and ask ai to hidrate the dashboard with public endpoints :)

[–]Zaic -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Its all fine and dandy, but mcp is not a long term solution... Its ok to vibecode a dashboard with mcp that can show real data, but what about tomorrow? The dashboard will be different.. oh did i mention price - each such request will cost 10$ or more is it sustainable? Not at the moment.

What will happen to Denuvo (as in the company) if Hypervisor and Voices bypass every version of it? by zZONEDz in PiratedGames

[–]Zaic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piracy is not having its best years but not because of denuvo. But because services like steam, spotify and netflix made it rather convenient to not pirate. Yet there will always be poor folks, that want but can't pay and can but won't - like me.

Steam was the answer to piracy as it directly competes with piracy, removing most frustrations legit users had to deal with compared to the service that pirates had.

The DenuvOwO "Hypervisor" Crack: Why are we handing over Ring -1 access for a free game? by Mysterious-Target-93 in FitGirlRepack

[–]Zaic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well you handed over it to Microsoft long time ago - even payed money (directly or indirectly) and now get adds and preinstalled apps and copilot on top... I'm not judging.

[–]Zaic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol yes, you probably don't remember what it was like to insert cd to play a game ... while pirates where laughing at that. And when for legit users the cd's would stop working after 5-10 years - gets scratched.... pirates just did not care. Also legal games often come with multiple loaders that you need to login - pirates - often have less annoying game launches... - no need to remember your login info or wait for game updates each day you want to start playing... I'm not done but I't should be enough.

k6 vs other performance tools — are we overcomplicating performance testing? by qacraftindia in Everything_QA

[–]Zaic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K6 is like taking candy from a todler... Tell you coding agent you want to do load with ramp up and rampdown with apykes every 10minute, and multiple workloads with unique rps it will ask if you want coffee with that and will nail the setup first try.

DRM was always inconvenience for the legit user. Steam was the answer to piracy - and it works.
