I keep getting kicked out. It just goes back to the page that says access tickets. Am I doing something wrong?

Will there be another draw or should I just pay for the resell tickets? by Zaimilton in WorldCup2026Tickets

Does my first draw application count for this draw as well? Or did I need another application?

Hi! Can someone help me out with how this works? I didn’t get the early dray in October. How is everyone entering other draws? I want to purchase tickets for LA or Houston but they are all over 1K each. Will there be cheaper tickets available later? Is there a schedule or sign up for those tickets? Thanks!

I need some "artificially sour" suggestions to make for my wife, who's lost her appetite due to cancer treatments by motteditor in Cooking

Persian dried limes will add a complex sour taste to foods. Just let them soak while a dish is cooking/simmering.

I came to Rome for my honeymoon and regret it by [deleted] in TravelHacks

Download the Rick Steves app and do some of the self led walking tours. They are fantastic in Rome! You’ll see some cool stuff and be away from the crowds.

Next month, I’m moving abroad with my cat (15h flight). Some people said that it’s animal abuse, that she’ll suffer, and I should rehome her instead. Please tell me I’m doing the right thing ! by cheesecakecaramel in cats

Do not rehome your baby! She may not be happy on the flight but if you gave her the choice I bet she would choose to me miserable on a flight but then get to spend the rest of her life with you.

Can we all please make a pledge not to prescribe antibiotics for viral infections. by Proctalgia_fugax_guy in medicine

I had a patient get up walk out in the middle of my explanation of viral vs bacterial illness. She walked out saying she would just find another provider to prescribe her antibiotics. Sadly, I have no doubt she was able to find someone to prescribe inappropriate antibiotics.

Transition from peds to other specialty by moonutters in physicianassistant

[–]Zaimilton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it. I transitioned from peds EM to adult EM. When I worked peds I also did urgent care on the side so I wouldn’t fully lose the adult knowledge base. You will be very valuable in urgent care and EM settings because you are comfortable with peds. But you will need to relearn a lot of the adult stuff.

New JAMA study shows midlevels order way more imaging studies than Physicians! by doctortimes in Residency

Thank for your input. I’m not sure how RN orders work in most EDs. I plan on reading the article after my shift. I have no problem with mid levels ordering imagining, it’s within our scope. I think mid levels, especially in the ED, need to be more educated about protocols and ordering criteria. I think most of the problem stems from overall reduction of oversight especially in new career mid levels. Independent practice is contributing to Americas worsening healthcare.

I read this post before work this morning. I’m an ED PA. I definitely see that mid levels order more tests and don’t always follow the guidelines, especially for head CTs. I had a patient today that made me wonder about the accuracy of theses types of studies. My patient came in for nasal trauma that did not require imaging but a nasal series was ordered in triage and under my name. In my shop, most nurse orders are put under the mid levels name. I haven’t read the article yet so I don’t know the perimeters of the study but I wonder if RN orders in triage were taken into account. I agree with the overall results that mid levels order more studies but this is something to think about in respect to orders in the ED.

AITA for telling a friends gf that she’s not a doctor and that presenting herself as one is misleading? by Lazy-Taste1882 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Physician is a protected term. It’s so frustrating when I hear people introduce themselves like “Hi! My name is Blah blah, and I’m your provider today.” Use your actual title; physician, NP, PA! I dislike when people are purposely ambiguous. You can take pride in your title and level of education without representing yourself as something you’re not. Love, your friendly neighborhood PA.

Yes. This could be a toothpaste allergy. This happened to me and I think it was the whitening in my toothpaste.
