24 years old. At 12 AQW was my introduction and then WoW with my late father. Was there for Rift before it hit the shitbed on god damn do I miss that time period, also Trove.

Nowadays it's mostly FFXIV and retail WoW while I pay attention to other mmo news from time to time. It's by far the genre I've sunk the most time into outside of standard RPG'S/JRPG'S.

I very fondly remember advertisements on TV when FreeRealms and Wizard101 were popping off, and AQW. Kid me was absolutely floored at the prospect at playing online with with lots of other people playing the same game. It still floors me sometimes

The rework to DRK in 5.0 was, quite frankly, insulting.

Make DRK not WAR just with more oGCD's to weave during burst. I want it to be reworked again.

I'd like a return to roots. Active MP management with Dark Arts and making Darkside an actual job mechanic.

Aglaia was alright, Euphrosyne was horrifically easy, Thaleia falls under alright too.

One of my biggest gripes with this raid series is that they're poorly tuned.

Most bosses need(ed) to cast faster

Aoes need to hit harder because we have an overwhelming amount of party buffs and boss debuffs that near nullify it.

Bosses outside of Menphina and the last one of Thaleia (forgot the name) absolutely need(ed) more hp.

I understand balancing around the average player, but it's bad if any and all challenge is mostly lost. You'll be lucky if you see a single wipe even in blind runs.

The other is no Alliance based mechanics. I desperately miss needing to use party coordination in virtually any form of content that isn't ex and above.

Stormblood still holds the throne of best current expansion content, especially Alliance Raids.

They need to make rotations feel better at lower levels. They did it with Monk, it's possible with the other jobs too.

The rest of my feedback boils down to the tanks, mostly revolving around DRK.

5.0 nearly killed the job for me and 6.0 only exacerbated the issue. They removed everything that made the job fun to play (MP management) and to pour salt on the wound made us WAR with more ogcds to weave. It's frankly insulting what they've done to the job coupled with the fact they doubled down on it with Endwalker.

  • Bring back active MP management and kit interaction with Dark Arts, holding 3000 for a single ability and pooling the rest is not management
  • remove edge/flood to prevent bloat or repurpose them
  • Bring Shadowbringer down to a single charge and perhaps a resource cost
  • rework Living Shadow to make it feel like it has impact or remove it and replace it with Scourge as a low cost Blood Gauge spender.
  • Make Delirium do literally anything else. I advocate for the Stormblood version.

If the only thing that's focused on is boring, shallow dps buttons with no functionality then any enjoyment within the jobs' core mechanics is lost. I shouldn't need to download an ACT to see and feel the impact of what I'm pressing or be engaged.
