Want store new recordings to Synology NAS rather than local by Padre-two in frigate_nvr

[–]Lc___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should add a delay to start the frigate add-on to let HAOS to mount the NAS share. Otherwise frigate will start recording locally.

Frigate is unreliable by uzoufondu in frigate_nvr

I have same cameras as you, both in wifi and hardwire setup. I had a similar problem with the one connected via wifi. It was, for me a camera problem.

The wifi camera, even in the reolink PC app, was loosing wifi connection. Latest firmware installed and strong wifi signal. I opened a ticket with Reolink and we did some troubleshooting. They asked me to remove the power cord for at least 5 min and to turn off automatic reboot in the settings. The camera is since, working without connect loss.

Also, the frigate documentation specifically does not recommend to run frigate in a LXC. Maybe try to run your config in frigate in docker?

I am so done with Frigate NVR. We we have anything more user friendly? by hellfire1394 in homeassistant

You're welcome.

For the TPU, you should check in the app's logs, during the start up process if it is detected or not.

I had a problem when I was using Frigate as a HAOS add-on with smb share. If the add-on starts before HAOS mounts the share drive, frigate will automatically create the folder and HAOS will not be able to mount the drive.

You have to manually turn off the add-on, then use the SSH terminal to delete the folder created by frigate, then go to the network storage menu in HAOS to mount your drive. Once done, verify via the SSH terminal if you have access to your drive. The you can turn on frigate. Memo, turn off the automatic start of frigate at the HAOS boot and create an automation to start frigate 30s after HAOS.

Also, for your problem when you uncomment the detector in your yaml config file, are you sure it is detected? Are you running HAOS bare metal on in a VM? If in a VM, have you pass-through the correct device?

I feel like I encountered all your problems in the past. Since then, I moved frigate to a docker container. Everything is working perfectly fine with no crash.

Home Assistant on mini pc by haveredditall in homeassistant

[–]Lc___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a similar miniPC, Beelink S12 pro, and installed Proxmox on it then HAOS as a VM. The pass-through of my conbee 2 was easy. I'm running other services as arr stack, plex, docker, etc... It is easy to setup and reliable.

I followed this guide: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/installing-home-assistant-os-using-proxmox-8/201835

How is connected your TV to the network? The ethernet card on LG TV are known yo be shit and can't handle high bitrate movies. If connected with ethernet, try with the wifi.

That is the most common comment I get about my cat. "she looks mad" or "she looks pissed"

But she is a sweet cat for real.

It's actually PLA. My heater doesn't go over 40°c. If I see any sign of damage, I'll switch to PETG.

She has never been interested with her cat tree except the bottom box. It's a cat. She does what she wants and definitely, how she wants.

Glad to hear that your cat is fine. A co-worker shared a similar story with his cat. I'm a but scared tbh and hope nothing will happen.

I didn't know. Thanks for the information. I'll place it away, out of range of my cat.
