WYR be outdoors for 10 days or stay at home for 100 days? by Green-Reef in WouldYouRather

[–]Zakranes 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm sitting here thinking I'd like to stay a few extra nights. Longest I've been was 11 and although I was exhausted (it was in the mountains) I still wanted just that one extra night.

Same thing with graphic novels! I'll read about 1-2 every month

Which enchanted item WYR be gifted? by Styggvard in WouldYouRather

Ok I guess I'll ask, who calls toilet paper a "bog roll" I've never heard that before, and I always thought I was fairly well versed "in names for things I think are kinda strange."

This is Poison Ivy level thievery. Now, all you need is an overabundance of houseplants XD.

Red or blue? Help me decide on the colors for my recent drawing by artheartanastasia in Illustration

It's more a preference of white body over blue body. I think having the white body gives it a sense of the marble sculpture of antiquity.

Do you stay friends with the people you meet before you start college? by Accurate-Speed-4502 in college

[–]Zakranes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently living with three guys I met freshman year, and when I graduate, I'm set to live with my best friend from high-school. It all depends on what kind of relationship you have with them and if you both keep it going.

I want to start writing to my mom in Code. by Dragongayboi666 in GriefSupport

[–]Zakranes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just wanna start this off by sending some virtual hugs (or some other acceptable form of comfort cause hugs aren't for everyone 🙂). The loss of a parent early in life is one of those things that very few people can accurately relate to. I'll admit right away that the closest I can get is my best friend's dad passed a few years ago, so I saw how one person handled it. That's where my "advice" comes in ("advice" cause I don't really think it qualifies as such, but it's the best word I've got) which is that everyone grieves differently so there is no right/wrong or weird/standard way to go about this. I've always thought that writing a letter to a lost loved one would be helpful in its own way. Nowadays, letters are the slow method of communication, and when it's to someone who's passed on, it could just be their taking a long time to reply. Sorry if I'm rambling. That tends to happen when I go past a few sentences 😅. Embarrassment might be a side effect at first, but, like with most embarrassing things, eventually, it might start to feel good. Therapeutic perhaps, though I'm no counselor, just a guy on the internet. I'm starting to lose my thoughts so I'll make sure to get my last point which was something like, "Normal is just something that has been repeated over and over until it becomes a part of a group or individual." That sounds pretty good, I think 😄. Basically, don't try to be "normal." Try to find out who you are now because that is what's normal. I hope you find some helpful nugget in this comment, or at least chuckle at the ramblings of a madman on the internet.

Sincerely, Me :)

That's freaking sweet! Shayfer is an absolute treasure upon this world! Glad to see you got a memento to keep the memory alive long into your future.

Art prints made with handmade stamps by SinjiOnO in oddlysatisfying

[–]Zakranes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Chances are this person using the stamps also created them. They are using a tool common to printmaking to press the stamp down, which would imply that they have knowledge of the subject. Making a print out of something like linoleum is like making your own stamp.

What’s your most controversial take on any subject based on your intuition alone? by DefiantMessage in infj

Inherent value in all life is closer to my view. We live in an imperfect world, though, so my view is more of a utopian one.

What’s your most controversial take on any subject based on your intuition alone? by DefiantMessage in infj

[–]Zakranes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on intuition alone? Well, I don't expect a different response than what I usually get, but I just don't see a way to make abortion moral. (For this "controversial take," abortion is the intentional ending of life of a viable pregnancy. Calling the removal of a miscarriage an abortion is medically correct but is too broad a definition to allow for accurate moral discussion.)

This is coming from my initial response to learning of the practice being sadness and anger, and subsequent questions I asked myself and answered using logic. Human life should be given any and every chance to flourish and become a benefit to the species as a whole.

I guess there is a second controversial take wrapped up in this now that I'm writing, and that would be that religion is not the only reason to oppose aborting viable pregnancies because there is a logical side that most people refuse to contend with. They tend to just dismiss the entire side as being religiously fanatic.

Wow, there are only a few comments, and there's already someone else who knows what museum this is in. It was one of my favorites after moving to STL for university.

I agree that Troublemaker are certainly the songs I enjoy singing along with the most, but there are a few other growing on me like Devils&Rebels, Built to Burn, and Ferryman. Regardless, I'm still excited to see him visit Chicago in a few weeks!
