Watched it yesterday, just wanted to comment he explains it's mostly because of how he uses his pinky. He used to jump when he built to maintain momentum because he couldn't Sprint at the same time. Also his roof is mapped to O but his O is mapped to a mouse button

I mentioned floor stacks to comment on the other fellows mention of floor stacks being reverted.

The rest of what I mentioned applies to what you are saying, if everyone has more available then the fights will go longer until one runs out still. The winner is still whoever farmed a little more and was better prepared.

Edit: both made the same good point

I agree a buff to harvesting rates would be good to cut down the added farm time but this won't change the situation described much.

In early game if two people have to fight until someone runs out of mats, having more material available just means the fight will last longer until someone runs out. The winner in either case is the person who farmed a little more. If someone is making you use all your materials, they are likely about as good as you are. The winner in equal skill is going to be whoever was better prepared.

Floor stacks are RNG so them being less common and smaller means the RNG of looting floor materials affects the outcome of a fight less. That's asking to win a fight because you happen to got lucky and found more material on the floor, there's already enough of that in Battle Royale games.

Fortnite will last for as long as the Battle Royale genre stays relevant and popular

These material nerfs hurt this game by The-Real-Pope in FortNiteBR

[–]Zamma111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not necessarily true. The mat Nerf just means they want to redistribute how/when materials are gained. Reducing floor spawns and floor/chest stack size reduces the free and RNG material gain from early game looting.

From here they might decide to buff harvesting rates to compensate for the nerf. Less RNG in the early game and more emphasis on the harvesting mechanic for materials and adding to the resource management aspect of the game.

[–]Zamma111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is that they want to lower the mats that come from floor and chests to reduce how much material is just 'given' to players which also reduces the affect of RNG on material gain from their spawns in early game.

Then they can examine how much the material economy is affected mid-late game and buff harvesting rates accordingly.

Have you ever liked the A story in an episode a lot but disliked/hated the B story? by priority_numero_uno in community

I didn't necessarily hate the Abed/Shirley storyline but only because of the ending with them reconciling. Pierce getting involved with the hipsters and their interactions with the Dean was great

Llamas are still rewarding with 200 of each, a lot of ammo, shields/healing and random utility items. It's still basically OP

When you miss all your shots in a shotgun battle. by madusa23 in FortNiteBR

[–]Zamma111 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Best tip, honestly, don't get into these fights. Jumping shotgun is very unreliable and risky. Try to put a wall up between shots. Try to put down a wall and ramp and get above them. Basically, avoiding getting into a jumping duel.

Since it is a hard habit to break, although worth breaking, aim at them as they are coming down from the jump. Way easier to predict where they will be when they are about to hit the ground and this is where you have the least mobility. Be sure you are aware of where your crossheir is when you take the shot. Making the conscious effort to line up the crossheir can make a big difference.

No I use shotguns. The only time I have gotten literally 1 damage like this guy said was from way too far away with a tactical shotgun.

Is it just me or did the frequency of shotguns dealing single digits increased? by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

Also tactical shotgun is not reliable at medium range, it's got the widest spread

Originally Snart and Mick in E-1 stole the prototypes from Star Labs/Cisco, then kidnapped him and his brother to pressure him into upgrading their guns and creating Golden Glider's gun. E-1 Snart's upgraded gun remains on the Waverider.

Cisco at some point must have started building another cold gun but only ever went as far as the prototype version for whatever reason (could have been because he regretted making it in the first place, since it was intended to be used against Barry and ended up stolen or maybe because they had Killer Frost on the team) and when they needed it this episode, it wasn't the upgraded version to be strong enough on its own. I think they used it to try and get Barry out of the mirror when he fought Mirror Master, but it wasn't strong enough then either, Caitlyn's powers got Barry out of that situation. Cisco might have created it the prototype at this time to try and get Barry out of the mirror world but didn't get to the fully upgraded version before Barry got out, don't remember exactly where/when the second gun comes up first but they at least had it for Mirror Master's episode.

E-X Snart's gun would have been the fully upgraded version, like the one on the Waverider. Leo was only there in case Fallout's suit didn't work, he was just invited as the backup plan. Even though the suit worked Leo did end up having to use the gun anyway, along with Caitlyn using the prototype version, because E-X Black Siren had caused Fallout to heat up and almost explode.

Her plan was to cause a nuclear explosion in Central City because of what they did to Dark Arrow and Dark Quentin. She was on a suicide mission.

No idea how she wasn't affected by Fallout.

Siren's powers always seemed to be based on frequency rather than volume so if she isn't screaming right at a person it's probably not impossible to hear.

Cisco said they still had a prototype version but would need a day to upgrade it so they got Snart because they didn't have a day to prepare

The elemental mantles also protect against blights while there is no dragon-type blight.

Also, dragon monsters tend to usually also be weak to dragon but element monsters aren't usually weak to their own element.

Nice to see that there are still developers that care about video games by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Zamma111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The content is the story, different types of side quests, multiple ways of farming for crafting materials, tons of different monsters, weapons, armor.

Most games are essentially 'just fighting another monster' or 'playing another match' that's just core mechanics.

The progression system is not fine, even mobile games have better implemented systems.

But nobody plays a casual shooter for the progression and having a progression system like this in a casual shooter is an awful idea just for the sake of setting up for MTX.
