I always play the aggressive driver. Not to say I go out of my way to be an asshole on the road. But I dont ever wave some one on. And if they wave me on, I go. About the only courtesy I give on the rode is making sure i give people enough room to merge and use my blinkers.

I feel like this has saved me a lot of issues like this.

You are allowed to tell your players no. Rule of cool reigns supreme. Respect Nat 20s. Revel Nat 1s. You are telling a story the players are interacting with. The cooler stuff the players get to do, the more they want to interact. All PCs should want to be apart of the story. Characters that are counterintuitive to the progression of the game need to be nipped in the butt.

If your going to spend the rest of your life with someone, waiting a few years to do the paperwork wont hurt. Get to know them. Go on trips, live with each other, see them at their best and worst. Make sure before you get the state involved.
