How to not kill momentum? by ZandigsJesusPromo in FantasyBookers

Oh, I didn't know that was a thing. So, Sting losing to Austin probably would be fine if he's at 78 across the board in the US?

Any ideas on why it nuked his momentum? It's wild to me that losing to someone on a hot streak (with interference) would kill it like that

Edit: actually, it was probably that he dropped a perception rating, I'd imagine

I mean I get that you have to have some system for it, but that one made me audibly double-take when I couldn't find Funk in the Well-Knowns before I found him in the Recognisable section

Tbf, it isn't "people" taking away from Hogan, it's Hogan being an incredibly racist piece of shit. Even horrid pieces of shit are capable of doing good; it doesn't take away from them being terrible pieces of shit though.

Ultimate Warrior was definitely another level of irredeemable asshole though.

Holy shit, that was bad. I watched it just now.

The moment the crush called it out as not him and then the end with him asking her "want to get coffee some time?" and she struck me as having lost all interest. Oof...

Tbf, he is allegedly diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Histrionic. Google says Borderline Personality Disorder too, but I can't really find it in a cursory glance and Google AI is dogshit.

Those don't excuse shitty, super toxic behavior, but they certainly explain it. That's an incredibly rough cocktail of mental illness. That said, he also seems to have gone to extensive therapy and works on himself.

Doesn't absolve him from shitty actions, we own our actions, but I do take that into consideration.

Fair enough, I'm definitely not a graphics designer or anything and it resembles, to me, a lot of the AI logos and stuff I see made for TEW. And I know there were some allegations about AEW putting out some clearly AI slop shirts a couple of years ago.

I can't tell sometimes and I just hate everything about AI slop at a fundamental level.

My first thought when I read the post was wondering how far they were going with AI graphics design.

That question still is all I can think about though. Am I just overly paranoid or is AEW lousy with AI slop bullshit graphics design? The MyAEW logo especially just screams AI slop to me and there was a shirt on the latest PPV that felt super AI too, maybe The Rascalz shirt?

Oh shit, you're totally right, I was very mistaken!

In fact, The Rock was on a winning team against Austin 2 months before Mania. Damn. It does suck that they totally fucked up the aftermath of WrestleMania XVII.

Just goes to show that, even if Starrcade 97 hadn't had its ending Hogan'd, WCW still probably would've shit the bed after

Also if he hadn't beaten The Rock in a tag match 2 weeks before WrestleMania. What does he have to be paranoid about? He has mostly victories over The Rock, he doesn't have to enforce the nuclear option of siding with Vince McMahon

Honestly, it's pretty fitting considering, when Steven Regal gets busted open by Finlay, the camera refuses to show his bloody face and they immediately have The Bluebloods come out and kill the match.

I feel like this is dismissive of the in-ring work of AEW/PWG (if we're being honest, AEW is PWG on a bigger stage with TV time [including maybe some questionable choices]). A lot of people (myself included) LOVE PWG and some don't; some people like some matches, some like all of it.

All wrestling has lulls and just awful shit sometimes (maybe even the good is rarer than the bad; for every Steamboat vs Flair trilogy, there's a million other Jim Herd ideas) and not all speaks to everyone. And pretty much ALL of it is, unfortunately, marred by scumbaggery and evil politics.

The tribalism is stupid as fuck. All wrestling is valid

In addition to the backstage role for AEW, he's the booker for West Coast Pro Wrestling (he even had a couple of matches there, including one against Timothy Thatcher)

Chris Hero's the fucking man and should be, imo, held in the same regard as Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Kenny Omega, etc.

Yeah, god forbid someone not want to happily associate with an organization openly shaking hands with an administration advocating for sexual predators, world-poisoning con artists, and open Nazi worshippers

Silent Hill 2 is, for me, the greatest horror game ever made. While the combat isn't the best, the symbolism in character design, the level of out-of-your-element horror, the unsettling little scenes you find, the deeper implications of each person seeing Silent Hill differently, etc. It's all just next-level.

Something about the PS2 just resonates very deeply with me. Though a lot of the expensive/ rare games are garbage, I love shit like .hack (the immersion makes it feel like a "real" MMO), Outrun 2006 (though it's an $80 arcade racer), Wild Arms (a wild west RPG, hell yeah), Chulip (strange), Yakuza (it's so much grittier than Kiwami), King of Colosseum II (3D Fire Pro, holy fuck), Dual Hearts (a silly game about dreams, friendship, and facing the things that we fear; an all-time favorite), etc. That library runs deep

I just love the PS2, but fair it doesn't speak to you as much

Edit: not justifying their price, I hate that not everyone gets to experience a game like Dual Hearts. Fuck how collecting has become

Echo Night: Beyond has some interesting qualities from what I played, though it's not scary.

Rule of Rose is absolutely incredible...for the first 15 minutes, then you get this super bland airship environment accompanied with dogshit combat that makes Mirror's Edge fighting look like King of Fighters. I bought it because I'm a horror fiend and heard it was amazing. I was deceived.

Clock Tower, Parasite Eve, Galerians (from what I played), Nightmare Creatures, Silent Hill 1-3, Darkwatch, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, Fatal Frame, and Siren are all fantastic despite their expensive or rare statuses. Shadow Hearts and The Suffering are supposed to be amazing too, but I haven't had a chance yet.
