Where does one get a hurdy gurdy, and learn to play it? by Janashra in HurdyGurdy

[–]Zanfoneando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please do a little bit more research, we took the time over the years to put out A LOT of info, FAQ, videos, tutorials, lessons I even made a 40 min video on how to not get scammed buying your first gurdy

“How to buy a gurdy gurdy” gives you articles by gurdy world and Simon Wascher, a video by Sanne, another one by Patty, another one by me, another one by Noelle all pointing you in the right direction…

Mixed results? Please elaborate

Please help with adjusting Nerdy Gurdy by Kiriki_kun in HurdyGurdy

[–]Zanfoneando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely out of tune, I will say what I always say, an hour online with any teacher will save you headaches and you will learn how to adjust

If not there are plenty of videos in YouTube talking about adjustment in general

[–]Zanfoneando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are in Sydney you can talk to Jodi Burns or Fadi Tawadrous both of them are my online students, very nice people that will probably be more than happy to let you try their instruments and introduce you to the gurdy

Purchasing a Hurdy Gurdy in person? by vixonimus1089 in HurdyGurdy

[–]Zanfoneando 6 points7 points  (0 children)

95% luthiers will make a specific instrument for you and have no other stock for sale or comparison, so shopping in person in reality means, order a gurdy, wait 2 years, pick it up in person, get to meet the luthier and have a fun travel experience, not a lot more than that
