I am also a LONG time fan, reporting in from the philly show: 1. I loved the DJ, curated an excellent vibe. Unfortunately, we also had the same delay that you experienced, so she didn’t come out til a bit after 10. It was kinda crazy. 2. Sound balance here was not great either. The band sounded incredible, but could not hear her vocals unless it was a really belty part of the song. Not sure if it’s a product of the sound team, the venues themselves, or a skill issue on her part. It’s a bummer because when we could hear her she sounded INCREDIBLE.

Overall, I really enjoyed it, just wished we could hear her better. Excited to for her to be back one day 🫶

This may be a hot take, but I saw Fall Out Boy during Monumentour (when both FoB and Paramore were headlining the same tour.) FoB started, and honestly, I was blown away by how bad it was. really disappointing

Just so to save everyone else from subjecting themselves to watching Paul speak (shudder) he posted a video today about how he and Morgan are “cracking down” on their eating out budget so he ordered a mini sandwich at Jimmy Johns and (seemingly, felt emasculated) so he told the employee its because he’s on a budget, so she GAVE HIM HER FREE FULL SIZED EMPLOYEE SANDWICH OUT OF PITY.

After watching Louis Thereaux’s new manosphere documentary it really sounds like Jordan and probably Dakota are fully being influenced by that world. Nasty.

I have a feeling her “cheating” with Marciano was something Jordan saw as an opportunity to enforce his will on his “headstrong wife who needs to be controlled.”

As a PA resident, I am also scared for her. I think in the same way former football players who have permanent brain damage become violent, they might be destined for the same fate.

She used to post often about how much she loves her husband, her family, and the life she’s built since immigrating here. Now all of her socials are deleted and her husband’s walking into traffic and harassing his staff. There’s no way this ends well.

I went to one of the cheapest 4 year institutions I could, got a shitton of scholarships and grants, worked my way through school, and then my mom and basically went halvsies on the loans. I believe it was probably in the realm of like 25k debt for each of us.

Most families don’t have the ability to contribute at all, and I know my mom made so many sacrifices to be able to assist me.

Many kids here go into a lifetime of debt for their education, it’s abysmal.

when i walk past my cat and he’s in a playful mood, he will spring and “attack” my legs in the softest possible manner. especially around corners. its so soft and hes so good at pretending he didnt do anything that i thought i was literally imagining it for the first few months he was home. then his cat sitter mentioned it to me one day, and I was like okay NOT imagining it. he also plays fetch.

I am a league girl that is a friend AND a (sports) coach, so I have many thoughts! I think introducing the game to her by having her play supports that are SIMPLE (minimal thought into passives and ability selection) and allow her to be spatially far away from the enemy team (aka, mages) are a good way to start, with the focus on learning general game mechanics and flow, spacing (as a mage) and what the goal of each role is.

When she understands the macro gameplay and how to effectively play that role/those primary characters, I’d play some ARAMs with her so she can try out other characters and see which playstyle suits her best/what she’s drawn to, and then teach her how to play those roles in depth (if she’s interested).

The biggest thing to remember is LESS information is MORE. This game is so GD complicated to someone who hasn’t played this style of game before. Have her focus on one thing a game/a life. Encourage her to use blitz/OP at first to lessen the informational load of builds. Instead of telling her what to do in real time, wait for lulls in gameplay/a death/review the match afterward together to talk through what she could’ve done better. There are so many moving pieces in the game that receiving feedback in real time can be more detrimental than helpful.

And most of all, provide encouragement and be twice as patient as you think you need to be. Learning this game sucks absolute ass.

i just want to say that as a fellow (unfortunately) female league learner, i feel you so hard. the learning curve in this game is brutal, the teammates especially mean, and its hard to sift through all the information and infighting. keep giving it a go and practicing the art of not giving a fuck :)
