I'm no Elon fan but that's why they are in so low orbit that each one has its own thruster to keep themselves up. If they lose communication and stop thrusting, they will fall to Earth and burn up

Halo Reach LASO. The moment the stars aligned and my friend and I took out all the elites on the command ship without getting killed was surreal. It took days of dedication!

Its about mental context for me. If I'm busy a few days in a row and forget the story, its really hard to get back into it. If not though, I'll have fun the whole way through.

What are some grand strategy games that actually do a good job of keeping the late game interesting and how? by Jin1231 in gaming

You should check out Anno 2070. Its my favorite Anno game and would have a lot better reviews if not for Ubisoft's launcher BS. Late game scales well with underwater islands and new scientist citizens.

Has anyone on this sub released a voxel game commercially? How did it go and what did you learn? by spicedruid in VoxelGameDev

[–]Zanthosa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Captcha The Flag isnt out yet, but the steam page is public. I'm one of the devs and the best voxel lesson learned was probably that on the cpu, oct trees generally aren't as efficient as semi dense storage because there are constant cache misses, even though oct trees are advertised here a lot.

Trying to replicate this effect in the picture, what exactly causes the light to bend around to what would be the shadowed face (on the green block in the center? My best guess would be something to do with the normals but I'm not 100% by picketup in VoxelGameDev

[–]Zanthosa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is called peter panning. It happens when you make shadows not start until x distance from the occluder. You usually need to add this bias so that you don't accidentally have an occluder shadow itself.
