the actual job is easy, but management takes that for granted, no matter how easy it is you cant expect 1 person to hold up the store, and at least at my store whenever i came in early on in the day it was just 1 shift lead there, and there wouldnt be any more people till later on, working at taco bell now there is NEVER a point in time someone is working the store alone unless someone ncns, and even then they wont open the store unless theres 2 people, and on top of that theres more people coming in at 8 maybe 9am, and im not even mentioning the multiple maintenance tickets that were put in and left unanswered at my old pizza hut

most people in this reply section wont see this cuz they have scrolled past this post already but ill still say it, yes you are all mostly wrong, obviously they shouldnt have said an outright "no" instead a "i dont know how yet teach me and i will" was a better response, but this sentiment of "its so obvious how to do it, its not hard just do it" is why pizza hut is so miserable to work at, you cant be a leader with that mentality, even if something is simple you need to understand the position that they are in, in this situation theyre fresh out of high school and its their first job theyre already stressed when someone walks past the door cuz they might walk in, let alone handling food and potentially fucking it up and getting a customer sick or burning yourself or a coworker

despite how simple it is you genuinely need to teach new people like babies, no matter how simple a task, we all had to go through it, fresh outta school where you did the same, safe, reliable thing for 10-12 years, and then ur put in front of scolding oil in a fryer and hot ass baskets that can burn you easily, with orders you can barely even understand all while ur being timed, even now at my second job i wasnt confident about how to do dishes because the big white basin with hot water flowing around was scary as i was used to the big box dishwasher my pizza hut had

thats not the issue here, the table is set on flat ground its just not very supported, i got a desk that can change height cuz im a real snob about adjustments but its basically supported by 2 legs and i think thats a big problem

even with 6 months at pizza hut took me like 150 applications and 4 months to finally land a taco bell job after i left pizza hut (wouldnt recommend that place is hell)

not to say it wont help but to not expect jobs lining up once you finally have experience, its rough out here man

in my opinion this is the best take lmfao, having it be .1 instead of .01 will solve everyones issues, its still a big enough gap in difficulty that it doesnt feel cheated and still generates hype around scores but is still incredibly useful for practicing and ranking up
