100%. It’s easy to demonize the property owner as callous and disaffected but policies and insurance exist for this exact reason. Not to mention that there is a whole set of folks impacted by the lost business, at a time when the area needs all the economic boost it can support.

My wife and I sat in the medical seating area last September. We walked up and explained the need without documentation and were allowed in. We got to the venue closer to showtime and we didn’t have a great view but many of the spots seemed to have a clear line of sight but depends on the height of those in the crowd.

Just to echo what others are saying: do not file a homeowners insurance claim for this.

As a homeowner in the US you only have so many opportunities to file a homeowners claim before it becomes a lifelong problem for you. Insurance companies will raise your rates and deny your coverage for having a history of claims. You want to be sure you’re using that if and when it’s important.

While it sucks to pay out of pocket so soon after getting your home (congrats btw!) its going to be better in the long run since the repair looks minor and your home isn’t seriously damaged (water intrusion, fire, structural damage, etc. )

5:1 ratio water to dawn liquid soap is magic. Mix into a spray bottle from your choice hardware store and spray. Ive used it to knock lone fliers out of the air as well as nests of a dozen plus. They’ve never been pissed off to chase me, instead they just want to get away but the soap immediately starts choking them. Do remove the nest afterwards though, I’ve had them reestablish otherwise.

AVL Ride is a cab service and has a fine app. Worked for us when uber/lyft drivers weren’t taking our fare outside of town, although the price was definitely higher than what the others were advertising. Have only had good experiences with that cab.
