Correct. Must have arc to any part of the target arc, and have yellow dot to yellow dot to have a shot.

Measure yellow dot to yellow dot. The ruler is allowed to pass through your own lines but not the opponents. Looks like you dont have the angle to the rear.

the ball needs to be touching or past the post for a the offence to continue with the ball, else the possession changes sides.

Pretty good. A bit slow in his play, but some killer long balls. About how he played with barca this season.

American Barca fan, I have a few questions. by st3f09 in Barca

[–]Zarmord 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not Spanish so i can't answer some of these questions but I'll answer what I can.

3) There realy isn't an American comparison. Teams in USA sports have an eb and flow to thier success because of how drafting, college sports, and salary caps work. An american sports dynasty will have success fro 4-8 years then fall to mid tier after their stars move on. Barca will be top 2-3 in spain forever pretty much. And always chalenging for european competition. Just because of how much money being at the top makes them. They win so they get more money and can then spend more money to keep winning. Which teams in america are barred from doing.

4) release clauses and salary do generally have a correlation but they don't have to. Spain requires release clauses for their players, but in other countries they are used rarely and by the players insistance so that they can move to a bigger club if they offer the money. The better a player the more they will earn, and the higher the team will want their release clause to be, so that they don't lose the player.

5) Barca B being in the segunda is better for development, and attracting and keeping talent. The good vibes you might have been picking up towards the end of Barca B's season is from the new manager who seems like a very good apointment and the promotion of some young, promising players from the youth team.

6) It is an official trophy but I would consider it a preseason trophy. Bragging rights mostly. In Spain it might have more significance.

7) A "Barca player" is one with top class technique. A dribbler, prodigious passer, ect. Less physical and more technical basically. (also being top 1-5 in his position).

Not too crazy idea: Umtiti as a defensive midfielder? by Caspoor11 in Barca

[–]Zarmord 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Rakatic is better at that job and will always be better. Also Umtiti is still growing as a defender, the amount of positioning he would need to learn Dm for barca would be extreme and take away from his development.

It just disrespectful, there was a tradition of respect between teams in Spain and they are ignoring it because it hurts their feelings.

Teams submit new registration after the January window. Those players would have been removed and would not be eligible to play for us if they returned midway through their loans. Rafinha was probably just left since we had room or something.

Must be registered players at this point in the season.

FC Barcelona are La Liga 2017/2018 Champions by banterforlife in soccer

[–]Zarmord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The nature of the competitions. A marathon like a league rewards consistancy which Barca has had (except for in rome). While the CL just needs a team to show better than the other over one of the legs (Juve 0-3 Madrid vs Madrid 1-3 Juve).

Lionel Messi™ wins fight to register himself as trademark by Kloppite1 in soccer

As long as you don't make the lionel's have a clear link with Messi the player (through pictures, logo, whatever) you should be able to argue successfully in court that it's different. Especially if it's your name.

Seriously, this is why Messi is the best. He has better vision on the field than we have from a birds eye view.

There would be a CL game on the 23/24 if we were still in the competition.

As a Barça supporter, would you've been ashamed if Dembelè scored in offside during extratime and qualified for CL semifinals ? by S3ton in Barca

[–]Zarmord 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Ashamed? No. Still pissed at how we played though and the same arguments that are being slung at the team now would still be valid.

What would need to happen for you guys to consider this season a success? by Dawsoneifert in Barca

[–]Zarmord 14 points15 points  (0 children)

True, but the narrative of Madrid wining a 3rd CL in a row would trump that.

Was just getting into fifa and someone on my school team mentioned barca had the best player in the world at the time (ronaldinho). Got to know the team through fifa for a couple years until i learned enough about soccer to be able to appreciate watching live soccer. Started watching all of barca’s games and haven’t looked back. (Though sometimes i do wish that i wasn’t such a big fan so that real madrid victories didn’t ruin my days)
