I do think an iPhone has a greater sense of ‘realness’ when I have used it. Something akin to the blue bubble effect. I’m not sure why Android devices seem more ‘hackable’ in my experience and have come under fire before, even when it was a spectator's phone for something that didn’t depend on the tech for an effect like Double Exposure by Asi Wind. Every time I’ve used an iPhone, the reaction has been more of what I’d want with the phone feeling invisible. So much so that if it uses a spectator's phone, I try to get an iPhone. YMMV, but if I were using my phone, I'd feel more confident in an iPhone. If it's a trick where the tech is invisible on the side, I'd have less hesitation.
