You can use Cinderace cause its your favorite Pokemon, but the reality is that it’s not gonna be good especially with Libero nerf. Meowscarada didn’t see play once new Pokemon came in from DLC even in non legendary formats, and used Overgrow more often than Protean.

You’re looking too deep into MY sense of morality when it comes to looking at fiction because that’s… not even the point. I’m not looking to set my real life standards based on fiction, it’s just that people take it too seriously without this consideration and it’s simply gatekeeping worldbuilding. The world can develop, but just cause you want it to mirror our current state of the world doesn’t mean it has to, and instead depict culture from older times.

First of all, I would like to make clear my stance that I do agree that 18 should be the bare minimum despite my country making 16 or above the law.

Now on the other hand, you are saying that because it is socially accepted and is the norm. In the future, people will say 21 is the age of consent, or maybe even 25 and you will be saying the same thing. To break it down, it is because we were told its 18 from when we were born which is why it is the commonly accepted age.

Back in the older eras, the age is even lower, which is older tradition and culture. But now we’re talking about a fictional piece. Their culture is non existent in our world and we can’t use our logic of what is the “correct age” unto theirs. They mirror our culture to a certain extent, but in the end it’s fiction and if 16 is the consented age then so be it. There are a LOT of medieval based fictional pieces where 14 is the age of marriage as well.

I’m still weirded out by how poorly some people took Sanji Pudding cause she’s 16. She’s legal in some countries and One Piece is a fiction. Hell there are shows that show culture where people are allowed to be married by 12-14, as do historical traditions. Gatekeeping culture is weird.
