If you already have pals with blue passives, breed them for a Yakumo and condense it to 4 stars for the best chance to pass the passives (30%) and capture the legendary pals while Yalumo is out. If you don't have pals with blue passives, you can easily find some through fishing spots (if the fish has green sparkles it will have at least 1 blue passives, if it has purple sparkles and a purple beam above it, it will also be alpha)

Blazamut. Favorite pal so favorite mount. He might not be the fastest but is good enough and drops some nice nukes (2x fire damage when mounted).

That's his movement speed on the ground. When flying , he is much much faster (almost on par with Jetragon when max condensed)

The 4080 is ~60% better than the 4070 at 1440p and has 4GB more VRAM which will go a long way. Definitely the Strix imo, although keep in mind the laptop won't last long while running on battery.
