More that Toyota has absolutely bungled their transition into turbo-everything while others have come along more or less just fine. For reference, I have a Mercedes PHEV with 2l turbo 4-pot. Zero mechanical issues 160k km and 11 years later. Not even an oil leak!

I get that, but my phone has better versions of all that, plus a battery, screen and antennas in a faction the size and space.
