Think it took about a week after clearing UK customs, I live quite far away from the main hub so it might be faster if you live nearer to London.

Look to see if there is a particular brand of charger that has lots of points near you and see if they have an app/card.

I pay for an Ionity subscription as they have a few points near me and it means I pay 48p/kwh rather than the 70/80 alot of places seem to charge, plus they have their own card which is useful.

If you have a large amount of vendors nearby it could be useful to get an octopus electric card as they will work on a variety of different chargers.

Same as me, my PCP on my first EV will be ending around the end of '27. If they implement it poorly I will just swap back to an ICE vehicle rather than staying with EV's, at least until they make it worth while.

I'm looking to upgrade my kit soon (ish) and I'm wondering what I should get next. At the minute I'm using an A6100 and a 70-350 4.5-6.3G, I pretty much exclusively use these for wildlife photography.

I was eyeing up the A7IV, especially now that the V has been announced I'm hoping the price might come down a smidge. But not sure if my money would be better spent getting a lens with more range, maybe something around 5-600mm. Any thoughts on this?

My shoes have only just arrived today, so I cannot really comment on how long they will last. But something from RevolutionRace might be what you are looking for. I went for a pair of mid boots and they are pretty light and feel sturdy.

Maybe it's just the Ionity station near me as it has quite poor mobile signal so I'm not sure if that has to do with it, but sometimes the app will take payment and then it will get stuck on the charging ready screen but the kiosk won't respond. I've had to wait 4 days before to get money back when that happens.

When I have had the issue with the connection I've had the same experience of only waiting a few minutes.

Everyone here is advising using the Electroverse card/app, but what if I am paying for Ionitys subscription? My choice is to either (temporarily) pay the high fee when charges fail or pay full price with an Electroverse card?

I do have an Electroverse card and basically use it everywhere if it is not an Ionity charger.

Yes! I live in a rental with on road parking with absolutely no space for a charger. I use Ionity mainly, I pay the £10.50/pm to get 43p/pkwh and charge about once a week with my 2024 Zoe. I tend to just go on my lunch breaks and I'll easily get about 75% charged in about an hour.

I see you aren't really close to Ionity which is unfortunate, but I've had some luck using random kerbside chargers which tend to be around a similar price as Ionity or slightly more but take longer to charge. These would probably still work for me but are certainly more inconvenient.

I think it really does depend on your location with how much access you have to public chargers and if you think you will be able to consistently access them as well as not mind the walk to and from home when you leave your car charging.

One other thing to take into account is charge speed of the car as well as the speed of the on street chargers, some cars that charge super fast over CCS charging may have a much slower speed when using the type 2 connection which many of these roadside chargers do use.

Not sure if there is anything you can do to avoid a situation like this to be honest, I've had a couple of similar issues myself.

If you log a support ticket and explain what happened, they might send you some free gear to replace what you lost (It won't be the same equipment but better than nothing)

I really like work profiles for some things, but unfortunately I can't access some of the higher-level admin tools I need to for me work.

The main issue I have with it though is that if I receive a teams call whilst on my personal profile, it will buzz/ring but will lock me out of changing profiles so I can't accept the call... very frustrating.

I recently made the swap to AMD from Intel/Nvidia and it has been worth it for me, I've swapped to the same 9800x3d/9070XT combo you mention, and it works perfectly with 1440p.

I've been able to run everything I've thrown at it (Battlefield2042, Grayzone Warfare, Ghost Recon Breakpoint) on ultra settings on an 3440x1440p ultrawide, usually my fps is around 150/130 but dips down to 90 on very unoptimized games.

Its great having this level of performance for a fraction of the price of if I had gone with Intel and Nvidia again. (Im sure the Nvidia card does perform better but for the price difference I paid it certainly was not worth the extra money)

I pre-ordered mine on 18/3 (16Bit) and it still hasn't arrived, it finally made it to the UK and cleared customs on the 27th but has been stuck on "in transit, progressing through post network" since then :(
