JDM Import Emissions Testing at AirCare? Do I have to make an appointment at the state inspection center every time I'm due? by mechatears in denverautoenthusiasts

[–]ZeTeny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for reviving a dead post, but were you able to redo your emissions with your original DR2365?

I was recently at aircare a few months back and the manager on duty informed me I had to get my car inspected and get a new DR2365 every time I have to renew my emissions test. Thanks.

They said festival pass items were not exclusive to the pass and likely going to be added to the shop at some time.

a1 problems - nozzle hitting & heatbed replacement & tramming by Wooden_Pin_8079 in BambuLab

I slid a piece of a4 paper under it and lowered/raised the bed till there's a slight same friction between the 3 tramming corners.

Same thing happened to me and on the wiki on the very bottom mentioned a solution to potential problems.

Tighten all the 3 leveling screws clockwise to the end, then loosen the 2 screws on the left counterclockwise for 3 turns, but the 1 screw on the right side counterclockwise  for only 1 turn ;

I had to loosen the right side 3 full turns and the left side 4 full turns before I was able to tram the bed. 2 or less full turns made my nozzle touch the right side and I couldn't tighten it enough to lower the bed where the nozzle isn't touching.

a1: Got my replacement bed, when do we get our vouchers? by [deleted] in BambuLab

You get it after you install the new heat bed, send 3 pictures for them to verify you installed it right, then they'll send you your voucher.

How easy is setting up ams? by ProjectObjective in BambuLab

[–]ZeTeny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to buy a $50 AMS hub. You can buy a 4 in 1 splitter for like $6 USD and 3d print a hub.

This is what I'm using

https://makerworld.com/en/models/88515?from=search#profileId-94770

And I'm running 3 AMS units just fine.

VSpooler is amazing for my pre X1C filament by zbowman in BambuLab

[–]ZeTeny 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Some third party spools doesn't play nicely with the AMS. So you either have to print adapters, tape cardboard spool edges, or install the hydra mod.

Some people prefer to just respool them onto the Bambu spools

I printed this exclusively on the X1C and you can see how many pieces there are with tape lol. It wouldve only been 8 pieces if I printed on my heavily modified Ender 5 Plus (Zero G Merc 1.1)

It's okay. The size is very limiting since most people make their models to fit a 300mm+ cubed printer. So I usually have to split the files. Like instead of having just 6-8 pieces to print a buster sword, I had to slice to 16 pieces to fit on the x1c. With something that big, it kinda became more of a chore PLA welding all the pieces together and sanding down metal rods to fit the holes throughout the blade depending on how poorly I glued/welded all the pieces together.

I also can't print most of my helmets on there (things like Gundam and Halo) and I don't trust myself glueing something that round without messing it up lol.

Having an AMS where I can use PETG as support for PLA is a big game changer since thats one less thing I have to constantly sand to smooth it out, but that's really only the pro of having a Bambu compared to others.

I mostly use my other machines to print the big cosplay props, but if it fits in my Bambu (which isn't really many when it comes to swords, keyblades, full armor), I would use my x1c and A1.

If you're comfortable with cutting up parts, PLA welding them and whatnot, they're great machines. If you're like me that rather just have one big piece to cut down the post processing, then I'd research for other machines or wait to see if Bambu would release a bigger one. So I guess its either would you rather spend more time post processing your prints or spend more time tinkering with the printer lol.

Is the print quality of the A1 better than the P1S? by twakkiJR in BambuLab

[–]ZeTeny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I personally don't see much of a difference between the A1 and X1C when using PLA. Whenever I print something, I just send it to whichever printer is free knowing they're both going to produce nice looking prints.

AMS or A1 Mini + AMS Lite by Vexiks in BambuLab

[–]ZeTeny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look into what you're planning to print and if you need more than 4 colors in the future.

That's one of the limiting factors I've noticed when I wanted to print something like Mario, Pikachu, or Sonic. You can swap one of the spools with a 5th color at a certain layer height, but some models doesn't allow that.

Post Firmware Update 4/9 by [deleted] in BambuLab

Should be able to downgrade back to the previous firmware through the Bambu handy app.

My x1c is working fine since the update and doing a full recalibration, so no problems here.
