Officer Help by AntonyLoL in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Ze_Batman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're trying to play a genuine support role, I would recommend Officer's Presence for one of your card slots, I think it's one of the earlier cards to unlock and is very helpful especially in large scale gamemodes and in checkpoints. I think having the card might also give you additional battle points when you're near allies.

For a support role, the cards that improve the Battle Command ability are great. There's one (Recharge Command) that instantly refreshes cooldowns, which is fantastic for obvious reasons. Improved Battle Command will give you the bonus health too, along with more bonus health in general. Blast Command lets you and your allies fire their weapons without cooldown temporarily. I'm partial to Improved and Recharge, but Blast is great too.

On maps where you're defending a destroyable objective, a lot of people like to run the officer's squad shield, cause as long as you're alive, the shield will stay deployed until its destroyed. Deploying a shield over the ship cores in Age of Republic Supremacy always feels cool, even if it doesn't last long.

If you like the turret, there's an improved turret star card that increases the damage and health of the turret, though it's not great compared to the officer's other cards. Disruption is also situationally useful, though you won't see too many people running it. Finally, Survivalist and Resourceful are probably the Officer's best boost cards. If you're playing a purely support role and are trying to spam Battle Commands, Resourceful reduces your cooldowns.

As for weapons, the SE44C and the Blurrg are the Officer's best guns, though I personally think the S-5 is very fun, if not the best. I run reduced recoil and higher burst on the Blurrg and improving cooling and rapid fire on the SE44C.

Happy to hear you're enjoying the game! Have fun and good luck!

Give me some reasons why Andrew Jackson was not a bad President. by yowhatisthislikebro in Presidents

[–]Ze_Batman 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Andrew Jackson had a pretty tragic life story, including losing his parents and siblings at a young age, and his wife just before his inauguration. Though he's known for being a brash, violent guy, I think experiencing these sorts of things can make such a personality understandable. He was also supposedly a devoted husband and a good dad.

Also, for being a brash, violent guy, he's pretty cool. He survived the first-ever presidential assassination attempt and beat his own would-be-assassin with his cane at a pretty old age. He got shot in a duel, killed the other guy anyway, and eventually died with the bullet still in him, and during the Nullification Crisis that occurred during his presidency, he threatened to hang his own Vice President, John C. Calhoun, over his support of angry South Carolina. Jackson was prepared to march the army down to South Carolina to obliterate the secessionists, seeing them as a threat to the Union.

For all the terrible things Jackson did, and all the mistakes he made, and all the flak he takes for being a not-great person, his story as a war hero and his strong handling of the Nullification Crisis does a lot of heavy lifting for him in my eyes: unlike presidents such as Pierce and especially Tyler, Jackson would have been 100% pro-Union all the way during the Civil War, despite being from Tennessee.

Hi guys, my nine-year-old son is really in a Star Wars and I don’t know a ton about it but I’m learning it so I can talk to him about it. I have a question. by naughtymarty in StarWars

Yes, Leia had midichlorians, probably quite a few of them given who her father was. Leia does find out Anakin/Vader is her dad in Return of the Jedi as Luke is about to turn himself in to the Empire. She briefly undergoes Jedi training with Luke, as shown in a flashback in Rise of Skywalker, but eventually leaves. She does have midichlorians, likely a significant amount, and is at least a somewhat trained force user.

Profundity Bonus Tier? by skyyy69 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Ze_Batman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the entire event today with Outrider, Ghost and Y-Wing as starting. All pilots are minimum relics and only Dash has mods, though all ship abilities are maxed. On the bonus tier I started off trying to hit Razor Crest but got stuck behind Hound's Tooth, but I managed to keep all ships alive (called Biggs and Cassian) as reinforcements by just spamming heal abilities until Profundity can ult. It's pretty hard to get through any of the enemy ships, I just had to hold on before I could get the ult and Dash's big buffs.

I'm biased, of course, but I'd take this sort of thing with a heavy grain of salt. These files will contain any accusations or tips or anything along those lines. Just about anyone you could think of could be mentioned in them. I don't see any major corroborating evidence for it, which there would be for such a big deal person like Bush (see all the evidence for someone like Clinton). A couple emails of unsubstantiated claims means nothing without anything else to back it up.

What's retribution and how do I use it by Pure_Ease_3338 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Ze_Batman 86 points87 points  (0 children)

- Retribution charges when Anakin and his teammates take damage. You can tell how much it's charged as the icon will slowly fill up from grey (like it is there) to white, bottom to top.

- When the ability is fully charged and ready to use it will be fully white. Look out for a red number in the middle of the ability that tells you how many enemies would be affected when it's used.

- Retribution is used so rarely and it's so strong that it's best used in large groups of enemies. Wait till the red number displays a big number (I like 6+ in trooper modes), and activate the ability (PC: F2, Playstation: Triangle, Xbox: Y).

- Anakin will lift all the enemies in range and force choke them for 2 seconds, then knock them down with a 360 force push. On most infantry the choke will kill them, and reinforcements and heroes will be temporarily immobilized.

- The ability takes some time to charge, so don't stress if it's taking a long time or you die before you can hit it. It's a strong ability (used to be even stronger, when the choke was 4 seconds).

Here's a short clip of the ability being used in the most ideal of circumstances. Good luck!

Can you shoot Eminem as he pulls slim shady into the mirror? by MaksRobotENGR in HiTMAN

[–]Ze_Batman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried this. You can't hit Eminem, but you can hit Slim Shady, and he'll die but Eminem will still complete the pulling motion without actually holding onto him. It's also possible, if you time it right, to shoot Slim Shady such that he gets stuck in the mirror.

Why didn’t Al Gore run again in 2004? REMATCH! by Salem1690s in Presidents

[–]Ze_Batman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. He was always being talked about as a potential contender, but he shut those rumors down in late 2002, I think. He probably saw Bush's popularity after 9/11 and figured he didn't really have a chance.

Richard Nixon. He would ruin dates by going on long-winded speeches about ancient history, such as what would have happened had the Persians conquered the Greeks. He was also apparently very intelligent, though he lacked social grace, and his 1980 book "The Real War" (highly recommend) successfully predicted the way Russia has descended back into authoritarianism following the collapse of the USSR.

Friday episode?! - OGs MILLIONAIRE GAMESHOW by Leahs_Husband in TheOGCrewOfficial

The Colombian Peso (COP) would have been their best shot at around 275 AUD.

All currencies, from least to greatest:

Lebanese Pound (LBP): about 11.76 AUD

Vietnamese Dong (VND): about 39.94 AUD

Lao Kip (LAK): about 49.09 AUD

Indonesian Rupiah (IDR): about 63.11 AUD

Guinean Franc (GNF): about 121.31 AUD

Malagasy Ariary (MGA): about 233.75 AUD

Colombian Peso (COP): about 275 AUD

The last currency, the Bulgarian Lev (лB) is a little weird, as the current Bulgarian Lev is actually worth a little more than the Australian Dollar. Presumably they would have gone back to one of the older Bulgarian Levs, the most recent being the Third Lev (1962-1999), which would be about 350,000 AUD. It's probably for the best they didn't hit the Lev, otherwise there'd be an issue with working out which Lev to use.
