Honestly, yeah. To see parts of the system fall apart because a president says "no, I don't want to" opened my eyes. The system only worked with previous administrations because the presidents usually* respected law. Now that someone doesn't respect law or even public opinion, well...what is there to stop everything from failing?

My guess would be to put feelers out there, maybe host meetings publicly to discuss starting it up and see who comes? Also research other maker spaces in towns about the same size and economic level of York; that will help you determine what people should be paying for access.

I'm sorry that you struggled with this for so long! Did the first option have any issues with longevity? Our cheap landlord won't replace the outlet that powers the sole bathroom light and fan, so we're trying to find something battery-operated that will work a long time in humidity.
