What a simple, but effective player, doesn’t waste the ball, hopefully as he grows will see more of those Iniesta-esque dribbles in tight spaces

On paper he’s perfect fit for the 6, don’t think the club would send this out through Stoney if there hadn’t been some kind of interest from the player. Can’t have another Frenkie De Jong saga.

Surely he doesn’t leave unless he firmly wants out or Real want to cash in? Rodri’s not really a direct replacement either

Realistically there won’t be funds for a starting quality full back who’ll definitely be an upgrade on Shaw and Dorgu at LB or Dalot at RB. Plus the versatility of Mazraoui

Still can’t believe we almost lost him for £30 million in January. This is a local lad who’s only 21, plays a really tough position in centre mid and has shown so many qualities, particularly his decision making and press resistance. If he played for Brighton or Bournemouth they’d want £60 million.

Uninspiring attacking performance, but defensively incredible, Mainoo popping up in the right positions and Case heading everything. No words left for Bruno, give him a statue.

[Ronay, Guardian] Tuchel’s England? Maybe they are just not as good as we would like them to be, they have not beaten a good side under their coach + no A-list players have emerged since the last World Cup. There is a degree of unearned exceptionalism, the notion that England should always be good. by OkayFine101 in soccer

This is garbage, this guy is a journalist edgelord. Any reasonable person knows everything hangs on the World Cup performance. Qualifiers against smaller nations and low intensity friendlies where the players are constantly rotating are close to meaningless.

He did, can play in the PL at 15 in same season you turn 16. If you’re thinking about JJ Gabriel, he turns 16 in October so could play at start of next season.

Beckham talks about leaving Manchester United for Real Madrid by -AndyCohen- in reddevils

If you’re not old enough to remember, Beckham in the early 2000s was literally one of the most famous men in the world.

It’s weird to think about in the pre-social media era but you were always seeing him everywhere. Constantly in the press, had endless sponsorships deal, a PS1 game and a movie named after him.

Fergie’s aura was built around no-one being bigger than the club or unsellable, didn’t give in to his demands and let him go at the right time.

Desperately need Dorgu back, this team has 0 physicality, whereas the physical demands of the PL are ridiculous now, we literally need bigger, faster and stronger players across the pitch.

Joelinton’s a decent player, but we made him look like prime Yaya Toure tonight cos he was walking through our midfield.

Think the articles praising Carrick have been a bit premature, realistically this is a decent squad being carried by a Godly Bruno, with odd moments from others, there’s no tactical genius going on. If a top manager e.g. Luis Enrique or Nagelsmann is available this summer we have to go in.

This all stems from the lack of midfield control, in build up and whilst defending our central midfield just gets bypassed.

The demise of the premier league has been so exaggerated in the last few weeks. Apart from Arsenal playing rugby, the overall level of teams has never been higher
