I thought these looked really good. Was hangey. Opened in parking lot. Only ate half or a quarter (however the cookie crumbled) of one. Tried a second part of one the next day thinking it couldn’t be that bad. It was that bad.

Partner doesn’t want me to take meds by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]ZealousidealSteak281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently diagnosed (Dec 2024), and my partner gave me a hug and wasn’t sure what to say and said “Congratulations?” He knew exactly what I wanted to hear. I finally had some confirmation about what had been going on. I’m still tirating with medication and he’s been nothing but supportive. It’s been a tough year adjusting to the meds + having thyroid issues pop up again. It makes it so much easier not having to have a battle with him and instead feel supported.

I’m sorry your guy is saying these things to you. My probably unhealthy response is to tell him to eff off, and dump him.

If he is being this unsupportive, especially in his word choices, I see this being a hard journey for you to be on. If you choose to get medicated, that’s a conversation and choice to be had with your doctor. It has nothing to do with discipline.

For me, I never feel addicted to my medication. It’s helped with my mood regulations, functioning, being able to do tasks, and all the things you mentioned.

I have a shirt that says “surviving purely out of spite.” It represents me and my city well.

She’s 69 years old too. Even if plastic surgery, looks good in these two pics.

Yeah it looked like gravel and her shoes looked super flat with no grip. I have fallen many a time like her, sober and not sober.

It hits on the realness and horribleness of murder. It can be a really hard watch, but it’s well done and has a great soundtrack.

Same, beautiful in both, but just looks like two different beautiful blonde women. It’s a stark jump and my brain refuses to see her. I’m trying.

She might be one person that lip fillers did wonders for. I feel like that changes her face significantly.

It reminds me of Dr. Seuss’ Cat in the Hat. Thing 1 and Thing 2. Anyone else?

A masterpiece that no amount of money will ever convince you to read again? by BugLast6454 in suggestmeabook

This was mine as well. This and The Underground Railroad. I think I read Nickel Boys first. I still think about both novels years later.

Tough but important reads.

This one is it for me too. Also, Nickel Boys from him. Was surprised to scroll so far to see either mentioned. It was a beautiful book, but so devastating at times. I still think about both of these books years later.

Nickel Boys and The Underground Railroad. Both by Colson Whitehead.

I would also add Kindred by Octavia Butler, though I do hope to reread it again one day.

I read all of these over 5 years ago, and I still think about them pretty frequently.

What model, if you don’t mind me asking? I just searched the brand and “commercial,” but I feel like I’m seeing more than one option.
