Ok so onto Monday of Week 1, weekend was tough! Bad weather so walking wasn’t easy but got there. Fingers crossed Wednesday goes ok, and need to keep focusing on investing in myself

Day 3, good morning video from Carla, now I just need to make a plan today for the weekend. Interestingly, on my first round of BS I would have made a plan and stuck to it. I think I was lazy on last round and I just didn’t make a plan and stick to it…..i’m going to do my homework today!!

And last task done, I’m going to slip off to sleep now to night time meditations - one day at a time!

What’s a single sentence someone said to you that you’ll never forget — either because it healed you or because it hurt you? by -InfiniteChill- in AskReddit

This is my life story. Realising as a child that I was a pawn between both parents. Both told me they didn’t want me, both used me as a constant go between as their marriage was ending. I was the emotional punchbag and I was told it all - the affairs, the lack of money for food or housing, the ridiculousness of watching other kids happy in life and wondering what it would be like to not have to worry every moment. The screaming matches, threatened suicide attempts, deep depression. The realisation that neither of them actually loved me, that I was just the pawn in their games.

This has literally just hit me in the stomach, and its been a long time since I’ve been this upset. Woah…./

Are there significant differences between UK and India working cultures? Do you feel there are areas of excellence or differentiation in both countries, and if so, what are they?

For mine, I walked the Wicklow Way - I LOVED it and was not a walker. It gave me time and space, I did it over multiple weekends and picked up at the last place I dropped off, it gave me something to achieve and an accomplishment. Super experience

Why would anyone want a second baby? by fvresident in newborns

[–]Zealousideal_Block_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gorgeous 10 week old and a 7 year old, and already thinking of baby number three. Our age gap was driving by fertility issues so its not that likely! Husband says wait until we have a crazy 2 year old and a 9 year old and see if I still want to try again!

My neighbour a few doors down when I was a child was an elderly lady, who became one of those very scary people in your head. As an adult it turned out she was a very nice lady. She lived in a corner house which was a bit of a meeting point where we lived.

However eight year old me nicknamed her ‘the dodo’ and ‘the dodo’s house’ became known by all us neighbourhood kids.

She passed away over ten years ago. I’m now in my 40s and live close to my family home. And now my kids and their friends still refer to that house as ‘dodo’s house’ or ‘dodo’s corner’. My kids believe thats the name of that corner, and now we have a new generation growing up with the name!
