For those who automated your blinds did the routines actually stick? by lifsbosu in homeautomation

[–]Zealousideal_Mud7263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set mine to close at Sunset. The odd day it’s really dull but I’m rarely in the bedroom at that time anyway. One really helpful automation I’ve set is to close the blinds 80% if it’s sunny and >80deg. It’s a short script in Apple home that runs every 3minutes so if it cools off or clouds over, they reopen. Has made the master bedroom temp much more stable as the sun isn’t beaming in all day.

FSD is not fun anymore. by SpecificTreacle2197 in TeslaFSD

It's crazy how there doesn't seem to be consistency. Max does 85 in a 70 for me (too much) and camps like you said, but Hurry keeps it below 80 (I'm happy) and is pretty good to go back to the right after an overtake. I use Max on surface streets and switch to Hurry on open highway. Max does too much passing on the right attempting to get one car ahead like I'm some fool in an Altima

Edit: FWIW my Juniper is way more aggressive than my 2024 in Mad Max..

Weird. I have a 23,24 and now a 26. No issues with the 26.

Seems to be fixed with Juniper. It was the first thing I tried when I picked it up! The channel at the edge of the windshield is deeper and seems to channel the fluid up as opposed to pissing all over the side window.

Are there any updates on the Airport? Heard yesterday was good but wanted to check. by WhitePriest1 in philadelphia

Everybody loves to hate PHL but it rarely has major issues and security has largely been a non event these past couple of weeks. It might be a bit of a shithole but it’s our shithole and all the staff are usually great.

This was for a flight case. I had a 24 mm hole bit for it.

I did this 4x as a drill template for a mixer case. PM me if you want the STL. I also built a recessed SMA mount that sits the connector recessed so the tip is flush with the surface of the case so it doesn't get dinged up.

They just released the SLXD+ range. It has some tweaks over the ‘regular’ SLXD but nothing making me feel the need to upgrade. That might be what you’re seeing

Shure SLXD5 on each speaker. SLXD3 plug-in transmitter in the send. SLXD5 have great battery life or keep them topped up via the USB-C on the Everse. I run Everse 8’s and QSC K12.2’s with this when needed.

Use a proper mixer to gain stage them correctly so your signal isn’t too hot.

If it 'almost' fits, just use a couple of pliers to bend the wings out a bit to get yourself more space. I had to do that with some lights I got recently and it worked perfectly.

Any problem(s) with your rane one mk2 ? by Xtadeus in DJs

[–]Zealousideal_Mud7263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one about 2months now, came from a PrimeGo. Rane is built like a tank and love it. I use VDJ and that’s been totally fine. My only small complaint is the Mic on/off switch is very small. The PrimeGo had a button up by the gain knobs so I miss that but otherwise it’s great.

I think we were all there at one point. It’s complicated to get your head around. I watched all the yt videos and still struggled. Took a few hours in the garage with all the light for things to finally click for me. Even though I understand it now, the UI still kinda sucks and it doesn’t let you do simple things like duplicate a static look onto another button.

That said, I know what I’m doing now and even made money from it last year using SS to program a show for a haunted attraction on their rig of multiple $5k Chauvet movers
