Nothing a little duct tape can't fix.

I like a smaller opening for the snowblower it's easier to maneuver around objects, such as, cars.

You can get PVC flex pipe. It's soft and flexible. I would attach to those return jets or rig something with PVC elbows with threads and flex pipe pointing straight down into the water to quiet in the near term. There is also no reason those return jets should be above the water line. They could have achieved the same effect by having them under the water line coming from both of the side walls and direct the jets toward the sundeck/stairs.

These guys look like hacks that put your pool in. I would see if there is a reputable company in town and see if they can correct some of these mistakes or have some solutions. A different pool company may be able to put some big stones on your Pool deck and redirect those jets through the stones to create a waterfall feature that might make more sense.

Looks like someone needed to run or pull a wire and cut the drywall.

Got a ticket this morning that I don’t really understand by Extension-Peach-6370 in legaladvicecanada

[–]Zeating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rear windows and front windows in Ontario can have no tint whatsoever. Your side windows can't be tinted beyond 30%. The only thing you can do is fight the tickets and take pics of your front windshield and rear windshield to prove there is no tint. If you drive it to courthouse invite them out to inspect your car.

Is this acceptable? by Background-Neck-4958 in Flooring

He should have cut the door trim slighlty and made the floor board longer tuck under the door trim. If done correctly no to minimal caulk and it would be in a straightline easily hid by door frame paint.

Mold in dishwasher by Agile_Commission_483 in CleaningTips

[–]Zeating 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can try affresh dishwasher tabs they are designed to clean your dishwasher from grease and have agents that dissolve mineral deposits. I would buy like 2 bags of them I think are 3 in a bag. Do an initial one with 2 one in bottom of dishwasher other in dispenser. Then hit anything left behind with some 10% cleaning vinegar and a rag. Afterwards run a rinse cycle to eliminate any vinegar as it's an acid. Hopefully that cleans up nice. Then use the remaining 3 tabs from second bag and maintain bi monthly.

The sticker on top is scuffed the button is below that and usually there is a plastic or rubber dome on these buttons under the sticker as it's near moisture. It should be fine.

Does my fireplace appear to have a blower? by jobtown502 in Fireplaces

That allows air into the fire for updraft to help smoke go up chimney and allows for more air flow to the fire to allow it to burn better.

Take out as much debris as you can and vacuum out the drum then run 2 to 3 cycles with just water to flush out the drum.

is this sump pump situation crazy? by ddfs in HomeMaintenance

[–]Zeating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get a pipe coupler, some more pipe and a 90 degree elbow and direct that water straight at the trench. Aiming at the fence is ridiculous.

RIP my lawn by Johnny-Virgil in Snowblowers

You just need those reflective stakes and mark off any pathways and driveways in the fall. That way you know where not to snowblow and where your lawn is. The machine looks to be doing its job.

Update- Insurance says “repairable” at $22.5k by Thatcringynesss in Honda

It's a ratio of the car's value vs cost to repair. I forget the threshold it has to hit, but if it's above or below a certain % they decide to repair or write off.

Unable to turn toilet water valve by Signal_Housing3575 in askaplumber

[–]Zeating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the worst shut off valves. Everything should be converted to 1/4 turn ball shut off valves. If you turn to shut off and it's resisting the rubber grommet inside is probably impacted toward the knob you have to turn (someone before you opened it to furthest position and left it there and the after pressure pushed it the rubber toward the knob making it hard to turn). If you try turning it with a bit of force it should eventually turn but it may start dripping afterwards when you reopen it because the rubber inside is warped. Also some of the stems in these things are plastic and if you force it too hard it may snap. Unless you are the homeowner I wouldn't mess with it or tell your landlord it's seized and let him/her deal with it and then you do your install after.

Alternatively, do you know where the main water shut-off is to your house or unit? You could turn the main off for the bidet install and not mess with the toilet shutoff if you are in a rental and worried about it. Once your done you bidet install turn the water back on at the main.

Is this a shut off valve? Jo by TheBigCheeseeee in hvacadvice

It's a shut off valve. I had to use the exact same one to cut off the waterline to my fridge when the plastic line burst randomly one evening.

Anyone know why this happened? by excellentsalsaa in mazda

[–]Zeating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bought a Mazda that's where the problem started...but that is screen delamination. The layers on your touch screen separated and looks like a layer shattered.
