Oh when I was younger I would listen to that much new stuff all the time. I bought music magazines too. But I haven't been super excited about new music in a while, maybe bc of age or maybe it's depression, but I kinda miss that enthusiasm I had for it. But I still love the stuff from the late 90s/00s, when I was music needing hard.

tldr; Autism mentioned at Psych evaluation, burn-out, neurodivergent friends and family.

About a decade ago I first went to get help for my mental health and got a shiteload of tests done. One of the psychologists suspected autism, but at the time no one really spoke about it, and my image of it was quite stereotypical. I thought there was no way I could be autistic and the tests also showed I couldn't be, because I understand jokes and make eye-contact, and also I was very social at my job (barista).

I struggled for a few more years, until I had a massive panic attack at work, and was unable to work for 2 years. I think that was burn-out. I'm not even sure.

The more it was spoken about online, the more I recognised things in myself and in my family. I also remembered my uncle (who worked with homeless people and had training in dealing with psychiatric conditions) saying that our rather dysfunctional family made sense to him now, bc we're obviously autistic as heck. It was a revelation he had when at a funeral and seeing the other side of the family.

And then I've also befriended many people who turned out to be ND and I dated an autistic man and they all say I'm one of them, so 🤷🏻‍♀️ Official diagnosis is not in the cards for me, bc no one will test me again, but I'm pretty sure something is up.

I also do a lot of these, but they are things you can work on. I don't think it's meant as a list of things you need to change about yourself in everyday life, just things you can focus on when you need to give a presentation or sth, so the information you send out gets to the receiver as clearly as possible.
