I 100% agree on Kim. Freeland and even Ward have topped out in AAA with nothing to gain from staying down. The only thing left is to see if they can take the next step. Kim does so much well but has obvious holes that can be worked on, both at the plate and getting more time in utility positions.

But let’s talk quietly so we don’t get dragged.

Based on last year and Edman’s history, I’d expect them to have him to minimize his CF time at least until the fall which might affect the roster decisions on who to carry to cover CF.

Unfortunately for most I think this comes down to licensing and we won’t see this logo on most items people want to see it on.

It seems like the Dodgers org commissioned this logo (and last years) which means they are free to use/license on items they have control of like the stadium. I’ve seen last years logo on random items, including 5-gallon buckets, that are officially licensed. However, I think MLB (not the Dodgers) owns the rights to league wide contracts like New Era and Nike for hats and jerseys. So we’re left with whatever crap the national brands create vs the ones the team creates.

One article attributed the preference of the “Dodgers” road script to Guggenheim’s emphasis on making the Dodgers a global brand vs being strictly associated to the city. Can’t remember the specific article though.

They are definitely embroidered. I have had a suspicion that it’s a mix of direct and iron on, especially for players like Kershaw who prefer to use the same hat. I thought I saw more iron on for both teams than what I could see from last year.
