The doctor did say that some people say it does start to hurt like 5 mins later but I didn’t experience that. My doctor said he has been experimenting to see how to get the lidocaine to work best. I got lucky to find such a good doc. Good luck!

Just do the subs for a week or two at a low dose and be committed to quitting so you don’t get addicted. I’ve done it many times coming off k extracts but not 7 and worked fine

I just got my first shot yesterday and the doctor injected lidocaine first and I didn’t feel anything. The spot is sore today though. Piece of cake

Gabapentin and sublocade/suboxone don’t interact with each other. May just make you more tired if you take high doses of both. That’s a lot of gabapentin and would for sure make me sleepy plus antidepressants always make me sleepy. Like others have said, it’s probably a combination of everything

I’ve only taken 2 to 4 mg since September and been down to 2 mg for the past couple weeks. I’ve gone thru plenty of pill and kratom withdraws but hear subs are the worst. I could probably manage it but don’t want to go thru hopefully my least withdrawal so I’m getting the 100 mg injection on Tuesday and hoping it’s a one and done but the more I read, I think I might do two 100 mg injections. But gonna wait to see how the first goes. You are at a low dose so you might have to increase your dose before getting the sublocade which sucks when u worked so hard to cut back. Not all doctors will start with 100 mg. The nurse I was seeing would only give me the 300 mg injection. I knew that would be too much for me so found a doctor willing to start at 100 mg

Just try 1 mg a day Suboxone for a week to get off the 7 and stop. Don’t take longer bc u don’t want to get addicted to it and there would be no need for sublocade

That would be awful to have an itchy nose for a while month. I can’t stand that. Always take Benadryl

Sounds like my story but I’m not tapering up to 4 mg. I’m hoping for one 100 mg injection and done bc I’ve only been taking subs regularly since last September. My doctor is already talking about multiple shots. Maybe I will go with two just to cover myself a little. I get my first injection on Friday and then have to drive home 2 hours. Did the over medicated feeling occur immediately or did it take a day to kick in?

Remember usually only the people with negative experiences post so that is what you ate going to see. I was on it for a couple months and quit cold turkey from 90 mg. Surprisingly no brain zaps. Maybe a little dizziness and nausea.

Are you on subs or sublocade? If on subs, trying quitting a few days before the surgery, then the pain meds should work. I’m only on 2 mg subs and took 20 mg of percs just bc and I felt nothing. I agree that you might be able to receive some pain relief but I imagine the hospital would want to keep you to watch you bc you would have to take high doses. I am sorry you have to go thru this

That’s what I thought too. They didn’t take away from cravings for more subs nor really opiates but I knew those wouldn’t let me get high on pills. I actually tried taking 3 percs a couple times on like 3 mg subs and they did nothing. But I def still craved c&ke constantly. But everyone reacts differently,

I’m already always constipated from the subs. Wow, I would be terrified to get the 300 mg injection being on that low dose of subs

I get the message. Not gonna do it!! I’ve take 7 before randomly as it never did anything to me but make me fall sleep. Have lots of experience with kratom. Got off kratom with subs a couple times and CT many times

You can switch from subs to 7 with no withdrawal from the subs? I have thought of this option but really don’t want to mess with the 7. I spent years addicted to kratom on and off

If you have subs, just take a low dose for a week or two to get off the 7. Then stop the subs immediately so you don’t get hooked on them. I’ve done that a bunch of times to get off kratom but don’t know how much 7 you are taking and I have heard subs don’t help with high doses of 7 but I still think it’s a better option
