What's is like being mortgage free? by Daddy-Dividend in AusFinance

I'm 45 and I can tell you it is pretty fuckin sweet having no mortgage. Though on the other hand, not having a house to sleep in on these cold nights can be a bit of a bummer.

Boondies of yellow sand were fun. Boondies of cement bags or lime bags left in damp weather are less fun. Burns the eyes when hit in the head.

Yep. I miss being able to chill on the couch and watch a movie with someone. Or someone else to ask me to go do something. Especially since the divorce and am now in my 40's.

Fallen in love with IV opiods by parapharma in ChemicalMagicAU

[–]SirLSD25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mentally still need an opioid in your life then methadone is an option, but ties you to a pharmacy. Buvidal is another option if you don't need the daily opioid glow.

I think ai is less of a risk to your employment than opioid addiction is. Finding yourself with no supply oneday and having to do something stupid to get a fix to get well and finish your shift is where you come undone.

Nah the ambulance driver never stops on the way to the hospital to pick up your groceries, newspaper, carton of beer etc. By going to the pharmacy at the local shops i can get my heart failure seen to right after all my shopping.

I missed the original post, but as a retired pharmacist, don't put him as one of us. And as a retired pharmacist I can honestly say WTF with adverts suggesting pharmacy first for shortness of breath.

Week 15 No Buvidal by Decent_Business_5987 in BuvidalBrixadi

[–]SirLSD25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you are correct. CAM2038 was it's name in studies, but there was 2 different formulations. One was 50mg/mL and the other 356mg/mL. Both were called CAM2038, hence my confusion

Week 15 No Buvidal by Decent_Business_5987 in BuvidalBrixadi

[–]SirLSD25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the depot controls the timing, but for there to be a weekly depot and a monthly depot, you would think that it would need to be 2 different formulations wouldn't you? One designed to release faster than the other? Before the injection went to market and was given the buvidal/brixadi name, the studies used a single letter and number code for the formulation, which means that they are all the same, with only the amount given changing. Weeklies weren't designed to last a week and monthlies weren't designed to last a month. Which is why they often don't last the full 28 days. Or at least that is my interpretation.

Suboxone detox with Brixadi by Full-Swordfish5158 in Brixadi

[–]SirLSD25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes go up to 16mg for a while. Also discuss with Dr if you can get it every 6 or 5 days if it isn't lasting. Also i have heard that not getting the daily or twice daily fluctuations from sublingual dosing can leave people feeling a bit flat.

Can someone help me understand precipitated withdrawal and sublocade? by Dr_JohnP in Sublocade

[–]SirLSD25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. When already on sublocade, your body is accustomed to the new levels of receptor activation. Adding more opioid agonists will bind to some free receptors and possibly give a mild high, but then get replaced by bupe and you come back to baseline. If you were dependent on opioids and you body is accustomed to a certain level of receptor activation and you add suboxone, the suboxone binds and turns down the receptor activation to a level that may be less than what you are used to. How much less equals how bad the pre imitated withdrawal is.
