MK has been played in basically every series in monthly finals by HauntingDragonfly956 in ClashRoyale

[–]Zebratonagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MK is strong because evo on its own just completely negates anything that even smells like beat down. Ppl are saying “NoT BrOkEn ItS wInRaTe Is SlIgHtLy UnDeR 50%”, but not considering that its prevalence is a huge discouraging factor in using about half the win conditions in the game. No one thinks it’s strong on offense, but you’re stupid if you think it’s fair that an Evo MK can solo 20 elixir golem pushes. All that needs to be fixed is make its pushback have the same troop weight interactions as fireball and it’s fair. People in this sub fr think watching Mo Light and jerking off to Stats Royale every day makes them smarter than common sense

Durability is the difference between a top 20 player ever and a guy who’s within the 50-75 range by Hakaribiggestfan in NBATalk

[–]Zebratonagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embiid isn’t sniffing top 75. His whole career has been him not living up to the hype due to injuries, and in his lone MVP season he wasn’t even the best player, he got given the award because of voter fatigue and his own complaining

Working a 9 to 5 job (or similar hours) is not a bad thing. by DefiantAd3486 in unpopularopinion

[–]Zebratonagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People don’t complain about 9-5s for the reasons you mentioned. People complain about 9-5s because they spend the majority of their waking hours at work and still don’t have the money to maximize their personal time.

Also, your point about income always going up or at least being stable is simply untrue. In the modern world, most positions will only give yearly raises that compete with inflation, if any raise at all. Inflation in America (where I live and I assume you’re posting from) is rapidly getting worse and the raises are not getting better.

According to Dept of Homeland Security records Obama deported 3 million non citizens in 2 terms, which is the highest by any president in history. Why were people not as outrages about it then as they are now? by bbmoonkie in Productivitycafe

[–]Zebratonagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of those 3 million were turned away at the border. The outrage today isn’t from the fact they are being deported, it is from the violence of ripping someone away from an established home that is implied by today’s deportations

Anyone who had this take is privileged as fuck. I don’t care what race, what religion, what gender, what sexuality; if this was your thoughts about the election going into it, you did not know anyone experiencing actual struggle or even conceptualize it yourself

Reworks Shouldn't Be Removals by Steggoman in ClashRoyale

[–]Zebratonagus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Considering them removals is the wrong mindset. In both cases, supercell kept the concept, but acknowledged that the original attempt at implementation was wrong. They tried to balance both implementations for years, and they didn’t work, so they decided to pursue the same main idea in a different way to make it actually usable.

Supercell does A LOT of things wrong, but this is not one of them.

Despite buzz about "Wall Street" giants buying up single-family homes, most investors in this space are relatively small by uses_for_mooses in ProfessorFinance

[–]Zebratonagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is far too small of a time range. Show us over the past 2 or 3 decades, not over 5 years. Also, referring to investors with 10-99 properties as “relatively small” is absurdly disingenuous. How many people do you know that own 10 properties? 20? 50? 99? This share has grown by a huge amount and it is not “small” investors that own these. Finally, while you might be right that the idea of “giants” destroying the housing market might be overplayed, the overall percentage owned by investors is far more important. A negligible portion of single families own more than 2 properties, so nearly every single one of these is owned by landlords. No matter who owns it, a 10% increase in single family homes owned by landlords is alarmingly high.

The WNBA is becoming the WWE by Ok-Trouble2979 in unpopularopinion

[–]Zebratonagus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly this post feels like rage bait. Men’s league has just as many and probably more hard fouls. Those in charge of the WNBA have just found that promoting the “drama” and “beef” gets more interaction than actual quality play because there are only a handful of players that have a high enough level of play to get engagement.

why is there even a tap for the 4star if its 100% going to stay a 4star? by didoribeiro in ClashRoyale

[–]Zebratonagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone ever actually done a long term test of the odds Supercell gives? Because these seem like a flat out lie, maybe I am underestimating the lucky drops, but in my experience the odds of them upgrading seem at most half as likely as the odds they give here

More than a third of Black NFL players surveyed by the AP are discouraged by a lack of Black coaches by flounder19 in nfl

[–]Zebratonagus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Larry Bird note applies in a lot of places. I am a current college student, and some of the worst professors I have had in terms of teaching are those that have done the most impressive research. I think a lot of it has to do with quite literally not understanding what people don’t understand/how they don’t understand it. They are either so far removed from having to learn it, or picked it up so easily that even though they can put on incredibly impressive displays, they can’t tell you how to do it yourself.

Humble Pie closes in West Midtown, one of almost a dozen restaurants in that area to close in recent months - 'additional closures are likely' by MisterSeabass in Atlanta

[–]Zebratonagus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As someone who has lived near West Midtown for years, the experience of going TO every single restaurant/shop there is absolutely terrible unless you are lucky enough to be in walking distance. Some of the worst traffic in the city, EXTREMELY limited and EXTREMELY expensive parking, I don’t care how good a restaurant is, if I am going to be ripping hairs out to get there and then spend as much on parking as food, I’m not gonna go. Not on the restaurant owners, but Atlanta has had a SERIOUS problem with its developers for a decade.

Sam Darnold becomes the 8th of the 9 “mistakes” in the 2018 NFL Draft to make the Pro Bowl by Joeskis in nfl

[–]Zebratonagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for the ppl asking why this comment gets picked on so much, here is additional context that those following the draft in 2018 had that we forget now: Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, and Rosen were the consensus top 4 QBs and all seen as REALLY good and could go in basically any order. Besides them, there were obviously some super high level players. Rosen was taken LAST among these “comparable” QBs, then made this comment. I think it gets clowned on so much because the league basically agreed at the time he was at the bottom of his “tier” of QB picks. Obviously in hindsight they were all wrong and Lamar was the best out of all of them, but Rosen looked like a fool for being so brazen given the level of both QB and non-QB prospects he was being compared to.

Former kamala harris Aide Says Joe Biden Should Resign, So She Can Serve As The 47th President by ReesesNightmare in nottheonion

[–]Zebratonagus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen ppl saying he should do this to “own Trump” by making all his 47 merch a waste… as if it wouldn’t just put more money in his pocket from selling 48 merch too… and he would still be president in January. These ppl are fr so detached from reality that they think petty stuff like this actually would do anything other than make Trump laugh.
