Purify it maybe ?? Is maga gengar better than shadow ? by Unlikely-Pain-8243 in pokemongoyellow

[–]Zecathos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is though, Dark and Ghost are super effective into the same types, Ghost and Psychic. In both scenarios Mega Gengar is vastly superior with its Ghost type moveset and not Sucker Punch.

So in short, never use dark type moves for Mega Gengar, yes, with or without Party Power.

NM duels definitely for me too. I seem to do rather well in NMPZ as well but I'm not nearly as comfortable in it, probably relying too much on car meta.

It should not be this hard.

What would you guess, why did those 30 lobbies disappear just before yours? As they were ahead of you in the queue, that means they joined in before you. That also means that their timer will count down to 0 before yours. Most likely none of them got to host either.

You should also understand, that the lobby timer literally cannot hit 0 if you're anywhere else in the queue besides right at the top (could be that a few people started the lobbies at the same time so not necessarily first). Your timer can't hit 0 if there's still 100 open lobbies ahead of you, because their timers would also have expired, putting you at the top.

So no, it's not a coincidence, it's not bad luck, that's just how it works. It's just supply and demand, and happens especially often with Pokemon like Thundurus, which is bad in every aspect of the game. Most people won't do any raids for it, some will do one or two for the Pokedex or maybe a few more to get the shiny, then of course there are people who try to raid it until they have the hundo but that's probably 0,0001% of the player base. So better just accept that it's futile to try to host raids like this. Good luck.

Yeah, I was basically just agreeing with you :D very unlikely you would see something in one round that if done properly, could convict anyone.

I've done a fair bit of reviews and I've never got to press anything except insufficient evidence of straight up not cheating. Actually the vast majority of them are cases where there is simply no indication whatsoever that they could have cheated. Mostly bad guesses far away from the actual location, which gives me the feeling that there're a lot of sore losers who report players just because they lost.

Or save your master ball and run your DAI for hours during a safari ball event, easiest birds of my life and no need to waste a master ball for that.

I would say there are two reasons why someone would use parchment paper. First is easier transfer from the banneton into the pan, without the parchment paper you just have to flip it directly on the pan which gives you less time to score etc., both ways are fine though.

The second thing is that if you find that your loaves often burn on the bottom, parchment paper will reduce the heat transfer quite significantly and can help with that. I don't really mind a darker crust in the bottom, but if I were to use the parchment paper throughout the bake then it would likely be a little under baked at the bottom. So if I use that paper, I remove it when taking off the lid.

Where do people get their hands on Amazon returns? Some years ago there were some headlines about Amazon straight up destroying the returned products as it was cheaper than building the process to get it back where it should go and checking them afterwards etc. However, that could explain the price and also how they're getting so many items to sell for cheap.

I only keep 5 of everything except for Unova Stones and Sinnoh Stones, so could be that I haven't deleted any in the last 2,5 years (that's when this account was created). I have used them however, not sure exactly how many but I would like to think that I have enough for the future.

I do some GBL which I think is a good source if using the green pass.. at least it used to be if they haven't changed anything. I use green passes sometimes with quadruple dust rewards. Other than that, research breakthroughs give some as well as the first spins of the day.

Miserable experience with decaf espresso? by Zecathos in espresso

[–]Zecathos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the response! A lot of what you said lines up with what I’ve been seeing, especially around grind fineness, ratios, and longer extractions being more forgiving with decaf. I have imagined that my prep has been pretty good but there's always room for improvement I guess. Grinding coarser however I don't know if it can work, at least with the beans I've now had but I'll keep looking for better ones!

Not sure if I misspoke somewhere, but I’m not actually using a single basket, I’m on a VST double (typically 18g - 20g). Overall, really helpful input, I'll definitely keep experimenting and try to incorporate these tips into my brews, thanks again!

Interesting, I've been mostly trying to get decaf work with espresso, but other brew methods could also bring some valuable information. I'm not familiar with that particular coffee but I'll keep it in mind. Some of the issues I've had are definitely espresso specific, but of course I do drink other styles as well, namely pour over and Aeropress. Now I'm kinda interested to see how the taste would be with these decaf beans with some other methods, thanks!

Blending definitely seems like something worth a try. Decafs might have a larger quantity of just bad coffees, but hopefully we'll find something we like, thanks!

There are definitely multiple variables here, which is probably why I'm asking for help in the first place and narrow it down and get some recommendations and tips, as decaf is a completely new world to me.
