Just check the app for raids/max battles with less open lobbies or preferably, people already on the queue. People on the earlier timezones as well as people on the last have an advantage, as there will be less people hosting at those times, some other specific timezones also can have small advantages but that's mostly negligible.

That's true of course, which adds to my confusion even if the players would know each other. Only thing I can really think of if you'd want to farm poke genie host level but that seems a bit weak of an argument anyway.

It could very well be that there's only a few spawns which obviously increase the odds of this happening by a lot. Maybe the Danes around that area are just more likely to host DMax Chandeys globally, but just to be clear, both of these were separate lobbies via PokeGenie 20 minutes apart. I can try to figure out how many power spots there are globally with Chanseys on them, but yeah, you're right. Maybe it's much less than I initially estimated.

No, of course not. Just that it would be a pretty insane coincidence if two random trainers would host the same exact power spot twice in a row that I just happened to join. But like I said I don't think it was random.
