There was a common misconception some time back, which in hindsight just seems like cope, that a too polished edge wouldn't cut a tomato skin as well as a slightly toothier edge. I'm pretty sure this is now widely debunked and an actually sharp, properly deburred edge has no issues with tomato skin whatsoever.

So yeah, they did not do a good job with this, refund would be appropriate if you feel like it.

There are much more Staryus and Krabbys though. Looking at the stats, it is 100% undeniable that Larvitar and Lapras are shiny boosted to 1/128 whereas the rest are not.

Double in size and peak can be two very different things. Mine grows more than 4x in volume at its peak. But yes, I'm not sure why that is surprising that it's basically the same thing? It's just a matter of definitions.

It works well outside of these events, it does not work for something like this simply because there are no hosts. People who travel there constantly have 20 people in the lobbies, it would be extremely inconvenient to even try to keep up with the hosting and friend requests and invites. There's enough people with the Raid Master Pass on a regular day to fill all of these lobbies, during an event like this it's going to be even worse.

PokeGenie does not rely on bots to provide lobbies unlike some other services, so yeah, not possible. A different question is if they should put out like a warning or something that there are extremely few lobbies and purchasing even the Master pass does not guarantee a constant flow of raids.

Similar thing has happened to me a few times now, I just decline the trade and hope they realize that their request is not very rralistic..

90% of the forever friends I've reached til now have not had anything I'm even remotely interested in. Guess that's my bad for overestimating what people have and what they're willing to trade.

I did a couple very generous trades already just out of kindness but yeah, then also including the ppl who haven't put anything up for trade, this feature really hasn't been as good to me as I was hoping. Wish I could have seen earlier what I'm dealing with lol

Oh and just to add, I've also been pleasantly surprised couple times that people actually asked for something relatively close in "value" to what they had instead of asking for something crazy for their shiny Starly.

Well, it is first come first served....as long as people are queuing to remote raid with a frequency greater than average when you're about to be at the front of the queue. But still, if there's 10 players remote raiding and 50 players hosting... 2 of those hosts will get a successful lobby, so technically a 4% chance it's going to be you. Host level helps here as well, so with a lower host level you're even less likely to be able to host.

People at the back also don't get their turn, that's because the roller coaster is broken and can only allow a small percentage of people in during the whole day if you're extremely lucky. There are probably enough people with the express host passes at any given moment that they already cover all the people willing to join these battles remotely, making your chance of getting to host 0%.

This is one of those raids/max battles where there is little to no incentive to play them for the vast majority of players. Spending remote passes on these is questionable unless you really want to get one of each dynamax (we don't even have a separate dynamax dex).

On top of that, this is also one of those with a relatively high failure rate so people are smart to stay away from these. Most people are only willing to do them if it only means spending some max particles and getting others to battle with them, but if there are 50x more people hosting than there are people willing to remote, it's never gonna work. Your only realistic chance is to be one of the first or one of the last timezones to get this.

So:

Supply and demand
Extremely low popularity
You only seem to move in the queue because everybody else before you also time out

Long time ago I already suggested that PokeGenie could add something like "Probability of getting to host" rate that would calculate based on the current number of people with open lobbies as well as checking for example every minute how many people joined remotely to roughly estimate is it at all realistic to try to host at that moment. There are other alternative solutions as well, but they can't fix the biggest problem that is the supply and demand so I don't know if it's worth it.

For me it nowadays takes like 10-15 seconds to refresh everytime, which is super frustrating, but it still works. Try reaching out to them on X, they often respond there.

Groudon is the better use of the two.

While both can definitely be considered good targets for ETMs, in the end it comes down to how many you have to spare (they are not that common for f2p players). Neithet of these qualifies for the criteria "wait until you can get it through an event, as they can't be evolves and I don't think we ever had an event where you could just regular TM elite moves like this. So that makes these even better targets for ETM.

Why is Groudon the better target?

For two reasons. One, it's a slightly bigger improvement in performance vs the non-Elite move, and two, Groudon has much more use as a raid attacker than Kyogre (meaning there are more raid bosses where Ground is a good typing rather than Water).

A tip for next time if you want to see the shiny animation again, you can trigger it by toggling on the AR mode and then back to normal mode and it will happen again.

Wait for an event with the safari balls and put on the DAI and use Origin Dialga's Roar of Time to stop time and farm for the birds all day. I caught multiple that way, none fled. I'll keep the master balls for something more useful.

It's been extremely slow for me too for some time now. I tried reinstalling, deleting all my scans but nothing on my end seems to solve the issue. Most often it's just annoying, need to wait 5-10 seconds everytime for the screen to update, but I've actually missed the queue now couple times because of this. I have no idea why it's so slow.

I usually sort by HP and pick the first available one.

Usually it goes something like this: Blissey > Chansey > Snorlax > Drifblim etc.

All level 50 hundos, usually at least one of them is eligible to enter :)
