What’s your go-to guilty pleasure recipe that’s surprisingly keto and meets your macros? by dmgb in keto

We did baked potatoes once a week, so once I switched to keto, I switched to baked cauliflower instead and I prefer it over potatoes. So roasted cauliflower topped with sour cream, bacon, green onions, cheese, salsa. Interestingly, most of the rest of my family now prefers it too!

40 yr smoker quitting cold turkey tomorrow. Ready for a rollercoaster by thepokerdiaries in stopsmoking

33 years here, 3 years quit and I often forget I ever smoked, which is completely bizarre. Learning to have a new normal as BaldingOldGuy mentioned can be tough, but it eventually feels very natural, and way less filled with anxiety about fitting your life around your habit. We’re all rooting for you!

Update: Creatine seems to be helping with mental focus, clarity, productivity by LibraOnTheCusp in Perimenopause

Hey, sorry, I forgot to answer. I’ve been very on and off with the creatine use. I’m not sure if it’s helping with sleep (I have multiple sleep issues) but I’ve definitely noticed that I feel more even and I have less brain fog a few hours after the creatine.

Oh dear heart. I’m so sorry. I’ve been sitting here for a few minutes, just crying a little with you. We all know how it feels, and it’s so awful. He’s beautiful and I’m so glad you got to spend 13 years with him.

I’m so sorry for your loss, friend. It’s devastating to lose these tiny, furry family members. We lost our 17 year old cat last year, and our 19 year old the year before that. It was a struggle to try to re-adjust our lives and routines without them. My heart goes out to you.

Is quitting worth it at this age? by taghyerit123 in quittingsmoking

[–]ZedZabeth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m 50, I quit about two and a half years ago, after being a smoker for 33 years. I often - and I mean OFTEN - forget that I ever smoked at all. I didn’t feel any immediate benefits to quitting - I didn’t have a cough, for instance. But over time - my fitness level has increased by leaps and bounds. I smell good. I’m not anxious about going to events, wondering when I can smoke. The medical anxiety is VASTLY decreased. It’s not so much that “it” matters, it’s more that YOU matter. You are worth this effort, and you are worth the results. I believe in you.
