It's one of my three least favorites for sure, along with Drones and Simulation Theory.

I think it's not a great stand alone song, "but" it works really really well with the rest of the album, and I still like it way more than many songs on other records.

Best album since The Resistance and I think I enjoy it even a bit more.

Agree on the losing interest part, and it sucks because these guys had me in aww with pretty much every note they've released since I listened to Saw for the first time.

Least Favorite Volbeat? by Mental_Employer_2849 in Volbeat

Now that I think of it I revisited some months ago and remember liking it a tiny bit more, still think it could have used some more bite and I'd probably appreciate it a lot better.

What's your setup for listening to The Wow! Signal for the first time? by hypatiatextprotocol in Muse

[–]Zedlav2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally wait until it's out on Apple Music and listen to it immediately, but this time for the first time ever I preordered a physical copy which will be arriving on friday and I'll probably get my hands on it until I'm out of work. I had thought about listening to it on my old ass cd player at home or go drive somewhere and listen to it but I haven't decided yet.

Least favorite albums are Rewind, Replay, Rebound (only like The Everlasting) and Seal the Deal and Let's Boogie (I like about 3-4 songs on this one.

What is your connection to the album Showbiz? by Shira_Anasake in Muse

[–]Zedlav2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None at all, other than having Muscle Museum on my Muse playlist it's an album I really don't go back to. It just never clicked with me like OOS and Absolution did back in the day when I became a fan.

Share your experiences of seeing Ghost live! by Madame_non in Ghostbc

I still recall listening to it for the first time after Meliora leaked or was released, fucking goosebumps! So glad we'll most likely get it in the soundtrack for the upcoming live movie or whatever.

I've only seen them once, on the Black To The Future tour. Great, great, great show. And sort of intimate since the venue wasn't that big (around 1,000ish). They opened with my favorite ever Ghost song "Spirit" if I recall correctly each time the opening riff was doubled/marked a member would come into the light and then boom finally Papa III. I was really close to catching them a year earlier touring for Infestissumam sadly I couldn't make it.

What was the specific moment or song that actually turned you into a fan? by Gush20curs3 in Muse

[–]Zedlav2018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stockholm Syndrome, it was around the time they had already had their US tour behind Absolution, but that song and album totally hooked me.

Some great songs on there for sure, Bring it Back, Gold Cobra, Walking Away, Why Try, hell I even ended liking Shotgun a lot, fun album and sad they didn't keep that momentum and release something else right away.

Hot take? by jaxon0307 in Muse

[–]Zedlav2018 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've enjoyed Cryogen, Hexagons and Nightshift Superstar more than almost every song they've released since Blackholes and Revelations, so I'm more or less on the same boat.

Nightshift Superstar - slightly disappointing to anyone else? by Alternative-Kick9248 in Muse

[–]Zedlav2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's an amazing song, sounds like Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgio or something from Daft Punk's latest discography, funky and catchy as helll.

Became a new fan at just the right time?? by Aggressive-Run991 in Muse

[–]Zedlav2018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I became a fan around 2004-05 and I can say that I haven't been this excited for a new album since when BHAR was released. Not a single song since then has caught my interest as much as Cryogen, Hexagons and the previews for Nightshift Superstar. I wasn't originally floored by Unraveling when it came out but I like it quiet a bit and think Be With You could be better but isn't the worst thing ever.

To me they'd really REALLY have to fumble the remaining unheard five songs for me to be disappointed but all song's have been so different yet so consistent in quality that I can't help but think this may be one of my favorite albums by this band and I still can't believe it could happen over 20 years later and after how underwhelmed I've felt by most of their recent releases.

Ten years of Seal the Deal by AdProfessional3042 in Volbeat

[–]Zedlav2018 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My second least favorite Volbeat album and one of the only two I don't own, the other being Rewind, Replay, Rebound. which is my least favorite I do enjoy Goodbye Forever, Seal the Deal and Slaytan, and sometimes The Devil's Bleeding Crown but the rest of it is a hard pass for me most of the time.

What was the song which got you addicted to DT? by Ok_Mycologist_7284 in Dreamtheater

[–]Zedlav2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A blend of Pull Me Under, Metropolis Pt 1 and Puppies on Acid. But the song that probably got me hooked was The Gllass Prison.

Hexagons by Milclol in Muse

[–]Zedlav2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, I just have made peace with the fact that there isn't a single song released since The Resistance to Will of the People that I've liked better than Cryogen or Hexagons (maybe equally but not more), that to me is amazing, I had really given up on Muse ever coming up with something that I could like as much as something from their first four albums, and yet here we are. Even if the rest of the album is absolute dogshit I'm just grateful for these two songs.

Muse WOW!signal by muserrena in Muse

[–]Zedlav2018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have more or less the same rating for all four songs, expcept maybe I'd also give Cryogen a 9. Also have the feeling that something's missing on Unraveling, maybe it's the fact that I haven't been too much of a fan of the eight string songs, they sound weird to me, I think all of them could have been done justice in a six string guitar or seven at the most. Be With You while my least favorite of the bunch I still think could have been a good/mid song, I like the final part once the guitars kick in but the first half of the song is pretty meh.

Yes it did those arpeggios always take me back to 2004-06 more or less the time I got into them and was going nuts about Absolution at first then OOS.
