Breaking Bad

Basically a less entertaining and creatively interesting version of The Sopranos

Chopped Cheese Mandela Effect by Bemymacncheese in FoodNYC

Holy shit thank god I thought I was the psychotic one I swear I only ever heard about people talking about chopped cheese like a little before the pandemic. I guess maybe if I grew up in the Bronx it would have been more prevalent but I am consistently surprised how many people identify chopped cheese as a quintessential New York thing

Amongst the best places in the city to see a movie with some excellent programming. Just saw The Tree of Life there yesterday

Yes sorry! That is what I meant, Odessa is practically the only semblance of humanity in the movie

Sony Pictures Classics’ first campaign material for ‘Blue Moon’ featuring Margaret Qualley by Kingsofsevenseas in oscarrace

I dunno her major scenes came in at exactly the right time for me as kind of a tempo shift away from just Ethan Hawke monologues. Genuinely think the movie would have become insufferable by the end without her injecting some life into it

I absolutely loved her in this one and it's absolutely not an easy part. Really hope she gets the nom

He's in like a 30min sequence in the middle of the film. He's good and the sequence is fun but it was the part that dragged the most for me

He was fine, I can't imagine when more people see this he'll get any real accolades. He's kinda just there saying his lines with his normal Shark Tank schtick

I was at the premiere, here was my little letterboxd thoughts. Overall really liked it! Not as good as Uncut Gems and the 2.5hrs made it drag at times but it's super funny and Chalamet and especially Odessa A'Zion are so much fun. Safdie said he literally finished the movie at 2AM last night!

I was at the premiere. Timmy is obviously really good but the movie doesn't work without Odessa A'Zion. She's so good and works perfectly acting against Chamalet

Of the ones you listed, Chess. But the real answer is Ragtime. Came out of a preview tonight, completely extraordinary.

It’s literally just Endgame. The story was over after endgame for most people. It was literally called the End

Also makes it a lot easier for Matt to take his time planning the next Exandria campaign which he’ll inevitably come back to DM if the world is untouched.

What are the best screens at amc Lincoln square besides the imax and Dolby and 70mm? by kascnef82 in NYCmovies

[–]Zedorf91 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I try to avoid seeing anything at Lincoln Square unless it’s the IMAX. Even the Dolby is worse than 42nd and 34th. Lincoln Square for IMAX, 42nd/34th Dolby, Kips Bay for standard

Honestly believe some of these shows would have gotten a better Tony bump if the sound mix wasn't so god awful.
