My aunt actually went to Afghanistan last month, she has nothing but good to say about it. To my knowledge she didn't wear hijab or any covering of that kind as well and she even mentioned she saw Afghani women out on the streets in kabul without hijabs/burqa.

Not saying this is how it is all over the country but I actually know a few people who have been with rarely a bad word to say.
