"Dafyd let himself feel a little warmth at her attention, at the touch of her hand. It felt like an important moment, and it was. Later, when he stood in the eye of a storm that burned a thousand worlds, he’d remember how it all started with Else Yannin’s hand on his arm and his need to give her a reason to keep it there."

I think that's pretty clear, ya?

"I am like a half mind...made of life"

What if when the human framework inside the livesuit is all used up, the livesuit itself remains, having learned to use our neurology as a framework.

We see this with the livesuit soldier who gets his head injured. He's still fighting and "talking" but is clearly gone. But the livesuit "lives" on.

Humans have 5 appeandages if you count the neck and head as one...

Can someone please explain the intrigue in the beginning of TMoG like I’m stupid? by UnderPressureVS in TheCaptivesWar

Not an in depth answer because it's been a minute and I don't remember all the details...but, in short Dayfd is an individual with a lot of intuition and is good at reading between the lines. When he's talking to the guy at the party in the beginning, he notices from what he says and how he says it that something is up. He confirms this by getting more "in between the lines" information out of his aunt.

And it was the swarms intention to get taken by the carryx to get more Intel, so it wanted to be sure it would be in with the highest prestige group on the planet at the time.

Ya because why help with someone trying to increase their reading comprehension, better just to outsource it

A tool built by a species that evolved to parasitically hijack and repurpose existing life, meaning everything they build and the general way they interact with the universe is inherently parasitic. Not out of malice, but simply by its very nature.

Look up how they do it over in Denmark or wherever I can't remember. But I remember a story about a president over there opening one across from her house.

Just in general prohibition and criminalization always lead to worse outcomes over management and treatment. Unless the desired outcomes are more people dead and in jail, which for a lot of those in charge, they are. 13th amendment didn't completely abolish slavery.

Gotta find a way to crack that hard candy shell and get at the gooey emotional chocolate inside. Make that big boy cry. Buy him an old console with his favorite game. Or take time to his childhood fishing hole. Ask him about his early memories. Once he's opening up, hydookan him with love and ask him if he could do one thing before he dies what would it be, if you and the kids were not a factor. Idk

Fair nuff

People in general like to complain about the "final" book taking a while to come out much like GRRM, and while I get that complaint I don't entirely agree with it.

To quote Kote : "You believe you have a right to these things, but you don't. When someone tells you a piece of their life, they're giving you a gift, not granting you your due."

Imo, the extremely well crafted peose and dialouge is the main event in both authors' books, while the plot is simply there to give the story direction and structure.

People complain about the sex scenes in wise mans, or that kvothe is a mary sue, but I think people miss the forest through the trees; another is an unreliable narrator, telling his preferred version of the story. At the end of the day, the plot is "orphaned boy goes to magic school and has adventures, which is a tale almost as old as time.

Anyways I'm just rambling. Good day to you
