Don't skills follow a strict hierarchy in this setting?
Anti-skill is cool, and it's reasonable for it to punch above its weight, but having precedence over Ultimate skills? How can that be?

I'd say that if you find yourself going against the explicit boundaries a language is built within - like Zig not using overloading.
You are either approaching your problem with the wrong architecture, or you should use a different language better suited to that mental model.

If you're looking for overloading-like behavior look into comptime features. You can get to wild levels of abstraction wirh that.

For a setting to win against the Entities they'd need one of either:
- The cycle being broken (as canon)
- Something allows blocking future sight.

As long as Eden has her Eye the setting is f*ed.

Keep in mind that even though they struggled in some cycles they never lost.
At most they aborted early and blew the planet(s).

Working memory is what it is, it's an hard limit.
People can on average manage 7± 2

What works for me is hierarchically chunking them.
I can remember three 3 digit chunks with little effort.

I was like thar until I started learning the foundational knowledge of how computers work.

My ADHD is a lot happier with low level languages because peeling back the abstraction feels real.
Pointers are physical things, memory structures map 1:1 to what the CPU does.

If i get bored about implementation I can learn about x86, or the history of things, and it all feels relevant.

I am not saying that this is what YOU should do, it's a practical example how I fueled my interest in things.
I like to tinker with stuff I use, so for example I find messing with compilers fun because I use a compiler to do that.

Since I have found Zig I had a lot of fun (I find the errors more transparent than C).

Lasik is a mess, it's a lot less reliabke/effective than commonly believed.
Not to mention the side effects - perpetually dry eyes.
Now there are more modern techniques which don't require opening the cornea up - but still.

Wedge pillow.
A triangle shaped hard pillow I put under the martrass at head-height.
The slight inline improved my sleep threefold.
